Under the Sea with Vivian: A Forbidden Love Tale

The woods were dark and full of terrors. Children were never supposed to go into the forest alone, but Miss Lavinia was always a *little* too strict for her own good. She was pretty, though, and all the boys thought she was hot for a teacher. So when she started yelling at them for playing tag in the forest, they just ran off.

"Miss Lavinia!" I yelled over my shoulder as I ran through the trees. "Miss Lavinia! Stop!"

We had all been running from her before, but today it seemed to be more serious than usual. She didn't usually chase us down this far into the woods.

"I can't keep up," I panted to myself between breaths as I tried to run faster. "Why did I have to be so slow?"

I felt leaves sticking to my sweaty brow and my hair was falling into my face, but I pushed on further into the woods, hoping that I would find someone who could help me.

After what seemed like an eternity, I emerged from the forest and found myself in a meadow filled with flowers of every color imaginable. There were little waterfalls trickling around the edges of the meadow and the sun above shone down on everything so brightly that it hurt my eyes to look directly at it.

I looked around for anyone who could help me and saw a man standing by one of the fountains. He was tall and strong looking with pale skin that seemed almost luminous in contrast to his black cloaks. His eyes were a deep green color that reminded me of summer grass growing fresh after a rainstorm. As he turned his gaze upon me, I realized that he was smiling at me with his lips pulled back to reveal two rows of sharp teeth similar to those of a wolf's or an animal's. They weren't pointed like an animal's teeth would be--they gave him an almost human-like appearance. The sight of him made my heart race and I took an unconscious step backwards towards the forest behind me before realizing what I'd done and stopping myself quickly as he began walking towards me slowly with every intention of making contact with me. My heart raced even more as he came closer and closer until he was just one step away from entering my personal space. I could feel his breath on my neck and his body so close to mine that if we moved any closer we would be touching each other intimately--and yet he stood there patiently waiting for something that I couldn't figure out until finally it hit me...he wanted a kiss from me! My heart beat even faster now as his mouth drew closer to mine in anticipation, so much so that it suddenly stopped beating altogether...and then started again even faster than ever before!

I sat up straight in bed gasping for air like a fish out of water as I just barely managed to avoid kissing him in real life!
