"I didn't believe you when you told me the legends Karis. I don't believe in any of those tales."

"Have faith in them Reece, they are not all stories. Some are true. I know it."

"Karis, you really believe that a horde of vile creatures would be living on the moon? How do you even know they're there?"

"Trust me, they're there and they've been there for a long time. They were banished away to the moon by our ancestors after war broke out between them and humanity."

"War? Like what kind of war?"

"A war that we lost. Papa was a survivor of that war. His father had told him all about it. And his father was from before that war as well so he knew what it was like back then."

"Karis, that is too hard to believe. In fact it's almost impossible to believe. If there was any truth to this legend then why should we fight them? Why can't we just leave them alone?"

"Because Reece, if we don't fight them then they will come back to our world and bring destruction everywhere! They have no bounds when it comes to destruction! Do you want your mother and father to be killed?"

Reece instantly felt guilty for even thinking about not going off with Karis to kill the Moon Demons. He loved his family too much to let anything happen to them or anyone else in his village. He looked at Karis and said, "No darling, we'll go kill those freaks." He put on his best smile and kissed her softly on the cheek, and she smiled right back at him as they both donned their helmets adorned with distinctive ornamentation. The two weapons they had chosen were great swords made from magical metals found deep within the earth's crust that only their people knew how to mine and refine.
