France, 21st century - Life had become tedious and normal for the people of France. Everyday seemed to blur together in a cloud of monotony, defined by rules and wearing facades. Nothing much ever seemed to change. Until one day, a group of youthful rebels, joined together a curious flame that began to burn in the middle of the city. The flame was driven by a powerful force of music. In each beat and each rhythm this flame burned wilder, hotter, wanting to ignite a spark of freedom that had nearly been snuffed out by the oppressive government. At the forefront of this fighting flame was Annabel, a young girl with a certain zest for life and capacity for joy that was incomparable. Annabel and her group of friends decided to join a new Performing Arts High School in Paris. The school seemed like a safe haven from the constraints of the government, a place where they could create and keep the flame of freedom alive through their music. Little did they know their school was the magnet of discontent their government was afraid of, and their actions at the school were monitored heavily. As they explored deeper into their art, the heat of their flame blazed brighter – driving the attention of the oppressive regime.

One day the group’s suspicions were confirmed when they found out the government had marked their school as a target in a plan to restore order to their world. Fear, however, didn't stop Annabel and her friends. Once they knew the risks they faced, they were determined to fight back against the oppressive regime no matter the cost. Their only saving grace seemed to be that the performing arts school had become a sanctuary – a world of its own with a culture of freedom that could not be taken from them, even if the government wanted to. The school had given the rebels a refuge and with it the courage to take a stand and not abandon their art.

They had written plays and staged performances to build a heightened awareness and demonstrate the resilience of their cause. When the oncoming threat finally arrived at their school, they all rose up to face their challenge and shed the very last of their doubts. Armed only with their own values of love and hope, they faced their opponent head on with all their might while never losing sight of their deep seated need for freedom and adventure.

Through dance, music, and song, the students and rebels finally achieved ultimate freedom by refusing to accept the authority of their oppressors any longer. Against all odds, the rebels found each other through the spirit of music, joining forces to drive their enemy away from the school grounds and out of their lives for good. The reason for their victory was simple - the power of music had helped Annabel and her friends to fight for and, eventually, experience the freedom that had been denied to all of them for so long. They were the rebels in the making, the embodiment of the spirit of freedom and justice.
