Rose stood at the edge of the boat, her heart pounding as she prepared to dive into the icy waters of the North Atlantic. She glanced back at Cal, who was watching her with a mixture of concern and determination.

"Are you sure about this, Rose?" he asked, his voice filled with worry. "It's dangerous down there."

"I have to do this, Cal," she replied, her voice firm. "I need to find it."

Cal reached out and took her hand in his, his grip tight and reassuring. "I understand," he said quietly. "Just promise me you'll be careful."

Rose nodded and gave him a small smile. "I will," she promised.

With one last look at Cal, Rose took a deep breath and dove into the water. The coldness seeped into her bones as she descended deeper and deeper into the dark depths of the ocean.

As she swam through the wreckage of the Titanic, memories flooded her mind. She could still hear the screams of the passengers as they fought for their lives on that fateful night over a century ago.

Rose shook off the memories and focused on her search. She knew exactly where she needed to go – the grand staircase that had once been the centerpiece of the ship.

Finally, after what felt like an eternity, Rose reached her destination. The grand staircase lay before her in all its decaying glory.

She began to search through the debris that littered the stairs, desperate to find what she was looking for.

Suddenly, something caught her eye – a glimmer of blue amidst all the grays and browns. Rose reached out and picked up the object – it was a necklace.

The Heart of the Ocean.

A surge of excitement rushed through Rose as she held it in her hands. After all these years, she had finally found it.

But as Rose looked at the necklace, something inside her shifted. She felt a strange sense of unease, as if she was being watched.

Rose turned around and froze. There, standing at the top of the grand staircase, was Cal.

He looked just as she remembered him – tall and handsome, with a confident smile on his face. But there was something different about him. Something haunted in his eyes.

"Cal," Rose whispered, her voice filled with disbelief. "Is it really you?"

Cal nodded and slowly made his way down the stairs towards her. "Yes, Rose," he said quietly. "It's me."

Tears welled up in Rose's eyes as she took in the sight of him. She had thought she would never see him again after that night on the Titanic.

"I've missed you, Cal," she said softly.

Cal reached out and gently brushed a strand of hair away from Rose's face. "I've missed you too, Rose," he replied. "Every day."

They stood there in silence for a moment, their eyes locked together. Then Cal spoke again.

"I never stopped loving you, Rose," he said earnestly. "Not for one second."

Rose felt her heart break at his words. She knew that Cal had loved her with all his heart back then, but she had chosen Jack over him.

And now here they were, reunited after all these years.

But before Rose could say anything, a loud crash echoed through the wreckage of the ship. They both turned towards the sound and saw a team of divers swimming towards them.

"They're here," Cal said quietly.

Rose looked at him in confusion. "Who's here?"

"The treasure hunters," Cal replied grimly. "They're after the necklace."

Suddenly everything clicked into place for Rose – why Cal was here, why he had been so determined to find it all those years ago.

He wanted to reclaim his fortune. And he was willing to do whatever it took to get the Heart of the Ocean.

But Rose wasn't about to let that happen. She had her own reasons for finding the necklace, and they had nothing to do with money.

As the divers closed in on them, Rose turned to Cal and took his hands in hers.

"We have to get out of here," she said urgently. "Follow me."

Rose led Cal through the wreckage of the ship, their hearts pounding as they tried to escape from their pursuers. They swam through narrow corridors and past gaping holes in the hull, desperate to reach the surface before it was too late.

Finally, after what felt like an eternity, they broke through the surface of the water and gasped for air. They were a safe distance away from the treasure hunters now, but Rose knew they couldn't stay there for long.

"I have a boat," she said quickly. "It's not far from here."

Rose helped Cal onto the small inflatable raft that was tied to a buoy and then climbed on board herself. She grabbed an oar and began paddling as fast as she could towards her boat, which was anchored a short distance away.

As they neared the boat, Rose glanced back over her shoulder and saw the treasure hunters emerge from the water. They were shouting and waving their arms, but Rose ignored them and focused on reaching her destination.

Finally, they reached the boat and scrambled on board. Rose quickly untied it from its anchor and started up the engine. The boat roared to life, sending spray flying as it sped away from the wreck of the Titanic.

As Rose piloted the boat towards safety, Cal sat beside her in silence. He watched her with a mixture of awe and gratitude as she expertly maneuvered through the choppy waters.

"You're amazing, Rose," he said quietly. "You always have been."

Rose smiled at him but didn't reply. She was too focused on the task at hand – getting as far away from the treasure hunters as possible.

After what felt like an eternity, Rose finally slowed the boat down and brought it to a stop. They were in a secluded cove now, far away from prying eyes.

Rose turned off the engine and let out a sigh of relief. They were safe, for now.

She turned to Cal and gave him a small smile. "We did it," she said softly. "We got away."

Cal reached out and took Rose's hand in his, his touch gentle yet possessive. "Thank you, Rose," he said earnestly. "I don't know what I would have done without you."

Rose looked into Cal's eyes and felt her heart skip a beat. There was so much she wanted to say to him, so much she wanted to ask.

But before she could find the words, Cal leaned in and kissed her.

It was a soft and tender kiss, filled with years of longing and regret. Rose closed her eyes and let herself get lost in the moment, forgetting everything else that had happened that night.

Finally, they pulled apart and gazed at each other in silence. There was so much they still needed to talk about – their past, their present, their future.

But for now, they were content to just be together.

As they sat there in the quiet cove, watching the sun set over the horizon, Rose couldn't help but feel a sense of peace wash over her.

She had come here tonight searching for something – redemption, forgiveness, closure.

And maybe she had found it after all.
