"It's a perfect day to die." Loraine squinted and readjusted her grip on the knife, "I am not dying today! Nobody can take my life, I'm no one's damsel in distress!"

"You're not even in distress, you're just lost in the woods."

"Shut it, I am not lost. I know exactly where I am."

"And where is that?"

"The forest of course!" she scoffed, "Who do you think I am? A princess afraid of woods?"

She continued scanning the surroundings but found nothing but trees. She had been traveling the woods for what seemed like hours. The sun was setting and she had been hoping to reach a village before nightfall. She decided to sit beneath a tree and rest for a while. She began rummaging through her knapsack when she felt something digging into her back. She inspected her knapsack and found nothing out of place but she could feel something hard rubbing against her shoulder blade. She pulled out the object she couldn't quite figure out what it was. It looked like an ancient amulet carved from dark green stone, with a jagged yellow lightning bolt running through its middle. It was shaped like a crescent moon with its point facing down toward the ground instead of up to the sky. And there was something...odd about it...

It was heavy, almost too heavy for it to be made from stone. She held it against her chest as if surrendering herself to its power then suddenly dropped it to the ground as if paralyzed by its magic. As soon as her fingers touched the damp soil they started glowing blue, then faded away along with her clothing until all that was left were her boots and underwear. Her eyes grew wide as she realized there were no clothes left on her body, then remembered that there were none on her person as well. Her face turned red and she quickly covered herself up with the only thing she could find: a small pouch wrapped around her wrist which contained a vial full of water from the ocean that gave her strength when she was feeling weak and needed courage when she couldn't think straight. It didn't help much at all; if anything, it made things worse because now it was painfully obvious how poor her choice in clothing was. Suddenly, an eerie laughter echoed throughout the forest followed by a deep booming voice saying:

"I have finally found you!"
