Struck by Love in a Storm

I'm not sure what it is about being off-world that makes you so horny.

I never thought I'd ever have sex again after my divorce, but one second of zero-g and I was all over some random chick. We didn't even know each other's names. I may have been cheating on my ex-wife with a woman who could be my daughter, but in the end, who cares? We were on an alien planet, and the rules don't apply there.

The plasma storm was raging around us as we bounced together in the airlock. It wasn't exactly romantic, but it was wild and passionate, just like me. The ship started to shake as it encountered thick gas clouds; we were getting ready to land. The Captain had warned us that it would be dangerous, but he hadn't told us how truly terrifying it would be outside.

Thick red lightning danced only metres from our ship, and the women screamed in fear. I knew that fear; I was a terrified mother when my kids were born too. They were so small, so fragile. My husband and I swore that we would sacrifice our lives for them if anything happened to them, and now here we were, ready to sacrifice ourselves for these women, who could barely take care of themselves.

"Everyone stay calm," I said firmly as the red lightning kept getting closer and closer to the window. "Stay back against the wall." The women screamed louder at the sight of the lightning inside the ship. One young girl nearly fainted in terror; I grabbed her arm to steady her. "There will be no death today," I said confidently as I pulled out my gun and pointed it at the window. "If any of those monsters get inside this ship, they'll face my wrath first."

The young girl still looked terrified, her eyes darting between me and the window every second as she waited for death to strike us down. "Don't worry child," I replied as confidently as possible despite being terrified myself by the raging plasma storm outside our window. "They won't get past me." As much as it pained me to say so, these girls actually needed someone strong like me to guide them to safety after what they had been through; they had no idea what they were getting into out there on this planet, but with my help they might actually survive long enough to tell their stories back home on Earth.

As expected, a few seconds later a ball of light slammed into our ship just above where I was standing with that girl; she screamed louder than ever before as if she thought the ship was going to explode any second now. How naive - if this ship went down we'd all be dead before it even reached the ground below us! And yet... somehow... we survived unscathed by that first attack from whatever evil creature was out there attacking us from behind that thick red plasma storm cloud (wouldn't you know it - even their weather systems are mean!). The creature reeled back outside for another hit at us - but then something unexpected happened: a bolt of red lightning shot out through the plasma cloud right at our attacker! Who knew plasma storms could act as natural shields against enemies!?

"Is that...?" one of the women started to ask quietly. "Is that friendly?" She sounded hopeful; she must have been afraid of dying just like everyone else here! She wanted someone else to save her life just like everyone else did too! As if on cue, another bolt of red lightning hit our enemy right on its head while more bolts shot out from different directions towards more opponents until all of them disappeared into nothingness! Then suddenly everything went still as if nothing had ever happened... except for these two mysterious figures floating outside our window looking down at us! Their heads looked very humanoid with two eyes each on their faces (and no noses or mouths), but their bodies looked more like cats with furry black skin and slender arms instead of legs! They waved at us politely before bowing deeply towards us and flying away off into space through a large tear in reality itself!
