"Ka-chow!" Lightning McQueen revved his engine and zoomed around the racetrack, leaving a trail of dust in his wake. He was in the lead, and victory was within his grasp.

"We're not sure," Doc Hudson said gravely. "Your engine is definitely damaged, but it might still be fixable."

While Doc examined Lightning's engine, Mater tried to cheer him up.

"Don't worry, buddy," Mater said optimistically. "Even if you can't race anymore, you'll always be our hero."

Just then, there was a loud bang as one of Lightning's tires exploded.

"What now?" Lightning groaned.

"This changes everything," Doc said in amazement. "With this new power, you could be more than just a racecar. You could be a superhero."
