"Are you sure you want to go?" Feothyn asked.

"Yes."

Velanor picked up his staff and walked out of the small house he had been living in for some time. It was a beautiful sunny day on the coast of Eldoria, just a short walk from the capital city of Valmoor. After a long time of thinking and procrastinating, Velanor decided to leave, possibly forever. He wasn't sure how he felt about leaving Feothyn, but he knew that it would be best for both of them if they were apart. The demons would not stop hunting him, and he would not stop fighting them. His life as a wizard was more than enough to put her in danger, and she deserved better than that.

He walked down the path to the beach and looked out at the sea. His eyes started to water, but he wouldn't let himself cry in front of her. He turned around and saw Feothyn standing behind him, holding something in her hand. She walked over to him and handed him a small golden ring with a blue stone on it.

"It's an aquamarine." She said as she watched him examine it.

Velanor smiled slightly as he remembered where she got it from; one of their many trips into the nearby woods to look for herbs for spells or potions for tending wounds. A demon had attacked them while they were on one such trip, but she had vanquished it with ease using some sort of water spell that caught it off guard, thus giving Velanor the chance to deliver a fatal blow with his staff.

Afterward, they found a large pool near where they fought and decided to rest there instead of going back right away, which was why they almost missed getting back before dark. He used an incantation to purify the water so they could drink from it after finding nothing else around, including any edible plants other than mushrooms that were safe enough to eat without knowing what they were first. As he cast the spell, he noticed that the crystal on his staff had begun glowing brighter than usual when he submerged it in the murky water and thus took it out of curiosity, only to find that it had changed color into greenish-blue when he pulled it out again. He thought nothing of it until later that night when Feothyn was looking at her ring and commented on how pretty it was before putting it on her finger again, saying something about how cool its color was now compared to before when she first got it from someone else who had taken away all its color by making bad wishes with it at one point in time.

As she reached over for her ring after removing it from her finger earlier that day, Velanor took notice of how much like his crystal's new color hers' had changed into while casting the spell in the pool; almost exactly like his crystal's new color, in fact! He handed her his staff so she could try casting a spell with it while he went off somewhere else, just in case something went wrong, but nothing did. Even though she didn't seem very happy about some things about his magic or himself, she still seemed interested enough in his crystal and wouldn't take no for an answer when Velanor refused to tell her what kind of stone it was made out of or where he got it from before suddenly changing its color later that same evening while casting some magic spell in a pond nearby.

The story spread among the people, leading them to speak of the mysterious figure known as Rageheart. No one knew who he was, but his name was frequently mentioned when discussing dangers or foolish actions. Meanwhile, Velanor continued to face demons and grow stronger in his magical abilities.

Feeling the weight of parting ways, Velanor finally said, "I will miss you." He turned away from her again, walking back toward the house where Feothyn stayed most of the time now. Alone in his thoughts, he always followed his heart and carried with him the hope that one day things would improve between them. Little did the people know about the world's past – the world had once been destroyed by its own creation and restored by a mysterious power. Hidden beneath mountains and protected by unbreakable oaths, the sacrifices made by those who came before ensured that future generations could live worry-free lives under their protection. Velanor continued down his path, never forgetting the love and memories shared with Feothyn.
