Clara's Brave Journey Home
·
Published 1/4/2023Brave little Clara, armed with only her spirit of adventure, embarks on a remarkable cross-country journey to find her beloved stuffed rabbit that has gone off to have its own vacation and, in the process, discovers the beauty of her own home.
Four-year-old Clara, living in a suburb of Europe, was a blonde-haired little girl who was quite content with her life. She had her parents, her toys, her treats and indulgences, and her beloved little white stuffed rabbit. Every night she would hold the rabbit close to her before going to sleep, content and safe. One morning, much to Clara's dismay, she wakes up only to realize the rabbit was no longer there. Reacting with shock, Clara begins to worry for her beloved rabbit. What could have happened to it? Where did it go? In the search for her furry friend, Clara discovers a single sock next to her bed, brushed in a way that appears as a trail. The trail of the sock leads her outdoors, around the corner of her street, and ultimately to the edge of a crowed of rabbits all packing their shared bags, laughing, and bidding farewell as they move onward in their journey. Clara soon discovers their destination the beach. In her own small way, she joins in the conversation and the merrymaking, understanding the desire of the little rabbits to take a small break from their regular life. Understanding the both their need for the beach and her own desire to find her bunny friend, Clara joins the small family of rabbits across Europe, with the big goal of reaching the beach where she knows her rabbit will be.
Clara, still in pursuit of finding her lost rabbit friend, continues on her journey through Europe, meeting new people and seeing astonishing sights. Whether it was exploring the geranium-lined alleys of Slovenia, admiring the Baroque architecture in Naples, or enjoying the vibrant nightlife in Barcelona, Clara experienced things she never expected and experienced life beyond what she ever imagined. This journey also introduces her to different perspectives of life. She meets a family of vagabonds in Belarus, namely twin brothers Shalev and Eli, and their friendly, worn-out old dog, Oskar. Even when money and resources were tight, the twins were still full of laughter and solidarity.
The twins, calling Clara their best companion ever, wanted to give her the best gift they could - a good nights’ sleep in a real bed. Disappearing into the moonlight one night, the twins search for supplies for Clara throughout the city. While lost among the labyrinth of alleys, the twins discover a commotion at the heart of the city. There was a great act of charity that night; a travelling circus was giving away warm furry blankets, along with a selection of their leftover candy. Mildly astonished yet moved by their generosity, the twins stumble towards the center of the fragrance. There, Clara finds her lost little white rabbit, cuddled in a lovely cocoon among smiling children, safe and sound.
However, just as Clara regains her happiest possession, a cruel twist of fate separates her from her fluffy friend as quickly as it came. During the night, the police raided the circus, and while Clara and the twins manage to escape without getting caught, the little white rabbit is tragically left behind. Refusing to accept her fate, and inspired by her journey across Europe, Clara pulls her and the twins winter coats tighter and attempts to climb back to the circus. Blinded by the snow and desperate to find her little white rabbit, Clara stumbles into the wild chaos engulfing the raid. With no time to waste, Clara adventure leads her over remarkable monsters, fight hardened narcotics agents, reckless thieves and past all sorts of dangers. Against all odds, Clara saves her little white friend, and in the process, gains an even stronger appreciation for her own real home, her regular life and those who bring warmth and happiness to it. With her little white rabbit cuddled close to her, the pair travel back home, eager to start a whole new adventure, and to keep exploring the world both guarded and added by love, courage and hope.
