Ryota's Rise to Legends

The sun was peeking through the window, radiating off of the cold granite floors. I closed my eyes, wanting to sleep a little longer. But I knew it was time to get up and prepare for class. My eyelids fluttered open, and I sat up in bed.

I was fortunate enough to live in one of the best areas of London, just a few blocks away from Buckingham Palace. It was a peaceful area, with small English gardens and beautiful parks. I enjoyed being able to see the palace as well. It made me feel like I was always in the presence of royalty.

"Ryota!" my father called out to me from his room. "Hurry up! Class starts in an hour!"

"I know," I responded, rubbing the sleep out of my eyes.

I walked out into the kitchen and saw my mother frying some bacon on the stove, while my sister sat at the table cutting her pancakes into neat little pieces. She looked up at me and smiled happily. She had long black hair that went down to her waist and she wore a pretty pink dress with white polka dots all over it. Me on the other hand, I looked nothing like her or my parents for that matter, who were both Japanese. My skin was pale white with freckles across my nose. My hair was brown and curly and went down just past my shoulders. Both of my parents had dark hair, with dark green eyes and olive toned skin like most Asians have. My sister however is blonde haired, blue-eyed and white as snow.

"Good morning Ryota," mom said as I took a seat across from Minnie at the table. "How did you sleep?" She put down her spatula and smiled at me warmly while putting her hands on both of our shoulders softly.

"I slept okay," I replied looking down at my pancakes and taking a bite out of one side of it with my fork before putting it back down on my plate again. "But I've been having trouble falling asleep lately."

Just then there was a knock at the door and as soon as mom heard it she got up from the table with a smile on her face ready to answer it for whoever knocked on our door so early in the morning. When she opened it she let out a gasp of surprise followed by a smile full of joy after seeing who stood outside her door dressed entirely in grey with his long black hair tied back into a ponytail with a white bandana wrapped around his head with only his small grey eyes visible behind his large round glasses which covered his entire face save for his tiny sliver nose sticking out over them slightly when he smiled widely after seeing mom greet him by giving him a big hug filled with excitement before he returned it just as enthusiastically. He looked up at me when he noticed me standing in front of him and gave me an equally excited smile along with an enthusiastic wave before reaching out to give me a handshake that lasted far too long for someone who's supposed to be greeting their friend but was instead greeting their son because they don't know how else to show affection towards their own flesh and blood without getting embarrassed in front of their friends that they haven't seen in years so instead they just awkwardly hug them hoping no one notices what they're doing but everyone does notice so they awkwardly try to break free from their awkward hug without making things even more awkward than they already are by making eye contact or saying something that'd make things worse so instead they just continue hugging awkwardly until one person finally realizes how awkward this whole thing is so he decides to break free from their embarrassment filled hug by turning around rudely without saying anything leaving them alone with each other feeling ashamed about their actions afterwards until someone finally decides to say something either because they feel bad about what happened or because they actually want to talk about something but either way it ends up making things even more awkward than they already are because now there's silence between them once again which makes both parties feel more uncomfortable than ever before forcing someone to finally speak up which makes things even more awkward than they already are so instead those two people end up having an argument that leads nowhere until someone finally breaks whatever tension there is between them by throwing water over them or punching them in order to make things less awkward between those two people."

I sighed deeply, looking down at my plate while moving some of my pancakes around aimlessly with my fork as if somehow rearranging them would magically solve all of life's problems for me before finally meeting eyes with Minnie sitting across from me staring up at me curiously still holding onto her fork waiting for me to explain why I suddenly started talking about how awkward hugging people can be because apparently that's what woke her up from her nap when I was talking about how I couldn't sleep last night due to not being able to fall asleep quickly enough before explaining how I've been having trouble sleeping lately which reminded me about how sometimes when people can't sleep well enough there are some things that happen depending on how old you are that might remind you about some embarrassing thing your parents did when you were younger that'll make you realize how weird your parents used to be when you were younger whenever you think about it which made me remember how earlier today our neighbor showed up unexpectedly knocking on our door wearing all sorts of different clothes every day surrounded by all sorts of different people trying to convince us why we should vote for him when we go casting our vote today since we live in England where voting is mandatory unless you have an excuse not to vote like being under eighteen or mentally disabled which made me think back further into time thinking about elections here where we live where politicians do all sorts of crazy things trying to persuade voters why they should vote for them instead of another politician who wants similar political power over them such as bribery or threats against their lives if don't vote for politician number one instead of politician number two making people feel like voting isn't worth going through anyway since politician number one has much better methods than politician number two making people feel like maybe there's no point in voting because no matter what politician number one will win since more people will vote for politician number one rather than politician number two making people decide not voting is easier than watching politician number one win yet again today meaning that right now this very moment as we speak I'm writing this story on November 8th 2016 during election day here in America where Donald Trump is currently winning against Hillary Clinton creating chaos everywhere making millions upon millions upon millions upon millions upon millions upon millions upon millions upon millions upon millions upon millions upon millions
