Roar of the Windy Riders: An Epic Chase for the Secret of Flight
·
Published 6/14/2023Led by a heroic yet surly pack leader, nine daring biker families traverse a magical late classical Europe, encountering menacing foes and tough ethical dilemmas as they race to unlock the all-powerful scry of flight before it is too late.

"You are all fools! Rushing into these dark forests and hills with no idea of where our enemies lie. You are putting all of us in danger and for what? Some magical stone that we can't even understand or control?"
The pack leader, a lanky high browed man, was berating his fellow riders as they slowed to a stop on the side of the road. They had been riding hard since early morning and he was tired of having to keep this reckless pace. His own wolf pack was small, just four men and a woman, but they were veterans of the two wars with their closest rival pack, the Black Dogs. The others in his group were new recruits from the other packs and he could tell by their tired eyes that none of them had ever experienced real combat before. He was sure that if it weren't for their magic stones and the fact that every one of them knew how to kick ass on an engine, they would have quit long ago.
"We didn't want to leave our packs either you know." A young woman stepped forward from one of the biker groups. Her face was covered in tattoos and her hair tied up in a red bandanna. "But when our chief called out the council of war without any word to us beforehand, we knew we had to get out before they killed us all."
"They deserve it!" a younger rider shouted angrily at her back. "Those bastard dogs have been picking off ours one by one for months! They think they are so much better than anyone else just because they got their hands on some fancy rocks!"
"That's bullshit!" another rider chimed in loudly. "The biggest reason why those dogs got so powerful is because they refused to share their magic stones with anyone else!"
A few voices cried out in anger at this statement but the young woman shook her head at them. "It's true! Our former chief often told us about how he tried many times over the years to negotiate some sort of alliance with the dogs but every time it was refused."
"That doesn't mean anything! How do you know he wasn't lying?" The angry young rider demanded but suddenly there was a loud bang from behind them.
Everyone turned around as smoke began to billow up from behind one of the trees down the road behind them. A large dusty bike emerged from behind it, its brakes squealing loudly as it came to a sudden halt between them and what now appeared to be a very angry looking dog clan rider atop his bike. He raised his shotgun threateningly towards them while his dog growled viciously menacingly at them from beside him.
"Well looks like we've caught ourselves some fine young blood huh old boy?" said the rider addressing his dog who growled again in response while eyeing each of them hungrily. "I think we're going to have ourselves quite a feast today boys!" He laughed maniacally as he pointed towards each member of the wolf pack individually with his gun barrel before turning back towards his own pack leader who had remained silent through this exchange. "Oh don't look so defeated man! I'm sure you'll give us quite an enjoyable fight after all." And laughing wildly once more, he gave his dog two swift kicks with his feet before speeding away down the road once more leaving only clouds of dust and smoke in his wake.
