Tynaris and the Atlantic's Defender

The battle was intense. The Dryad had summoned a flurry of vines and branches to protect her, but those attacks were easy enough to dodge. Tynaris used her claws and fire magic to rip through the Dryads defenses, leaving her vulnerable.

The Dryad had been corrupted by a demon. Her alraune friends had been twisted, corrupted as well. The demon fed off of them, gaining strength from their misery and suffering. She would need to be stopped before more innocents were harmed.

Tynaris knew there were innocents in danger on the Dryads island, but she did not know how many or where they were hiding. The Dryad had likely sent them away to hide while she faced the succubus.

She decided to see if she could find any clues to the innocents whereabouts once she was done with her foe. She's killed the creature before, but this time she'd make sure it was dead. None of that leaving it alive so it can heal nonsense like last time.

She ripped off a branch that was still attached to the Dryads body and held it in front of her face. It glowed red for a moment, then faded back to normal color as she dropped it and sat down on the ground next to the Dryad's corpse. Her breathing shallowed as she realized what she'd done.

"I... I did what I had to do." She said under her breath as she tried to justify her actions, "This is war! I'm in a war!"

"But I didn't have to kill her." She continued more loudly after realizing no one else was around to hear her, "I could have just captured again like last time."

"No, you couldn't have." Another voice said behind her, "Do you think that treehugger would've stayed put? You know how those treehugging hippies are always trying to save animals and shit."

She turned around and saw another succubus standing there laughing at her. "You were lucky last time. That alraune girl wanted revenge for all of her friends who'd been killed by that dryad bitch." The other woman continued as she walked up closer, "The dryad might've kept herself locked up inside that tree with all of those innocent kids if you hadn't killed the others first."

"Yeah, I guess your right..." Tynaris started before pausing for a moment then looking back at the other succubus, "How did you get here?"

The other succubus laughed again and waved her hand dismissively at Tynaris question, "I just came along for the fun of course! I wouldn't miss this for anything!" She paused for a moment as if thinking about something before continuing in a serious tone, "You should've let me take care of this though..." She continued in a playful tone again after seeing Tynaris' annoyed expression, "...but now we can enjoy ourselves together! It'll be fun!"
