His face was wet, streaming with his own blood. It stung his eyes, making it hard to see. He felt like a dog that had been beaten for days on end, but he could still breathe.

He heard the distant laughter, echoing in his mind as though they were right next to him. He tried to yell at them to shut up, but his throat was too sore and all he managed was a cough.

A shadow fell over him, then a smell filled his nostrils - sweet and musky. He knew that smell, he'd been in love with the smell for years and years. His eyes opened ever so slightly and there she was - her face a bloody mask of rage and pain as she looked down at him. She bent down slowly and took his head in her hand, stroking his hair softly. Her touch burned and it made him cry out again, the noise muffled by the ground.

"Shhhhhh," she said softly, "It's okay now."

He knew she didn't mean it, he knew she was trying to get him to stay quiet so that Ivy wouldn't hear them.

She pulled away from him suddenly and stood up straight - her hand thrusting towards the sky and an angry roar tearing from her lungs as veins bulged across her neck. Suddenly the world around them erupted into flames and the air smelled of smoke and rubber as vines began to twist their way through the streets of Monaco; wrapping themselves around cars, buildings and people alike. The people screamed in terror and ran for their lives - some getting caught by the vines and dragged back into the blackened ground that had been solid concrete moments earlier.

The Beast Within awoke within Dominic as he watched his city burn in front of him; Belle crying out in pain as her soul struggled against its captor. Her eyes turned red and black veins began to spread across her face as she sucked the life from everything around her; aching for more power to destroy everything that got in her way. She grabbed Dominic's arm tightly as she watched Ivy approach them confidently; her face still covered by a veil that hid her true identity beneath its thin fabric. She walked past Dominic without even sparing him a glance before stopping just inches away from Belle's face., staring deep into those crimson red eyes while smiling softly like they were old friends catching up after years apart.

"Well hello my dear," she breathed softly before turning around to look at Dom with a sly smile on her lips, "I don't know if you remember me - we met once."

Belle gritted her teeth at Ivy's words before snarling angrily at her - hatred burning behind those bright green eyes before she charged forward with both fists raised high above her head ready to strike down upon this woman who dared stand between them and victory over humanity at large. But before she could get close enough Ivy had drawn something from inside of her dress - a dagger with an ornate handle carved from ivory bone wrapped tightly around with ivy vines themselves. Ivy slashed out quickly with one hand whilst holding up one finger on the other hand for silence; the blade tearing through Belle's chest leaving a gaping wound where once there had been skin pulled taut over muscle covered bones.

His mouth opened in shock at the sight before him; blood oozed freely from the terrible wound across her chest as she stared down at it blankly before looking up at Ivy again with those glowing green eyes burning brightly with rage while tears streamed down her cheeks beneath white powder smeared across them like war paint. With a final yell of anger Belle threw herself at Ivy again; this time shooting out clawed hands towards Isis' exposed neck with jaws set firmly closed together looking ready to tear flesh from bone with ferocious strength fueled by pure hatred for this woman who had dared stand in their way and stop them from taking what was rightfully theirs!
