Beyond the Boundaries of Stars: A Love Story Between Emy and Maysun.
·
Published 6/13/2023When free-spirited Emy from Jupiter and calm Maysun from Mars cross paths, their unexpectedly passionate connection has the power to challenge their individual systems, testing the boundaries of space as they commit to an unconventional journey together filled with joy and discovery.

I had been born for the stars.
My parents, being the most prominent of Jupiter’s astronauts and physicians, have always been supportive of my thrill-seeking nature. I began diving into Europa’s ocean at the young age of five, before all of my limbs were fully developed – just like my father. Ever since then, I have lived for the adrenaline rush.
I would swim through the vastness of space for hours on end, feeling my heart beat relentlessly in my small chest as the pressure of Jupiter’s atmosphere was kept at bay by the high-density balm surrounding me. I would stare up into the swirling storm clouds that towered over me, watching in awe as they danced with each other, creating and destroying countless worlds as they fought over territory. Through it all, I never once felt fear.
The only thing that scared me was how lonely I was.
It was not until a few months ago that I first experienced true love. Because of our constant travels across the cosmos, my parents and I rarely met anyone outside of our family and close friends. We had always stayed occupied in our research or travel adventures, so there was no time to look for companionship outside of our group – until we came across Maysun.
Maysun was unlike any other human we had ever encountered. She was not just beautiful; she was charming and intelligent as well. She had traveled from Mars to Jupiter to learn more about astronomy and space travel, her passion being just as great as mine – if not greater. While most people were afraid to leave Earth's orbit after they became familiarized with their own solar system (and rightfully so), Maysun continued her travels further out into interstellar space, taking jobs on ships that would take her to distant planets in search of new life forms or new elements, living on board for years at a time without seeing another human face – except for her crew mates, who were usually all men.
I could tell from the moment that we first met that she had a passion for far greater things than those back on Mars could offer her – she thirsted for knowledge about our universe and lived every day with such intensity that it was impossible not to admire her. She inspired me with her courage and determination to live freely throughout space; she made me realize that there is more to life than what I have experienced before visiting Jupiter’s surface.
There is something else out there waiting for us to find it; there are other places where we can continue our research and explore beyond our home planets...and Maysun wanted nothing more than to see them all. Her eyes lit up whenever she spoke about these worlds beyond our solar system; she found beauty in everything she saw or learned about when exploring these foreign places – except for one thing: people like me. She didn’t seem interested in forming any lasting relationships with others; she wasn’t interested in getting married or having children - even though we both knew that we would eventually be forced to do so one day (there were many other duties we needed to fulfill). No, what Maysun really wanted was adventure - freedom from society's rules and expectations – and I couldn't help feeling captivated by this confident woman who lived each day without hesitation; this woman who could live forever because she didn't care if death could find her at any moment during her travels - this woman who had constantly risked everything for something worth living for...until now...until she met me...
