Chapter 2 The Fairy

Maho quickly got up from the ground, his eyes narrowing as he focused on the tiny pink fairy in front of him. He couldn't believe that such a small creature had just knocked him down with one punch.

"What's the big idea?" Maho shouted, his voice echoing through the snowy landscape. "I'm not here to cause trouble!"

The fairy crossed her arms and hovered in mid-air, her wings fluttering behind her. "That's what they all say," she replied with a smirk. "You dark magic users are always causing problems."

Maho felt his anger rising. He didn't understand why everyone assumed that he was trouble just because he had dark magic. It wasn't his fault that his father had sold him for power, or that his mother had been kidnapped by goblins.

"I'm not like other dark magic users," Maho said through gritted teeth. "I'm on a quest to save my mother from the goblins."

The fairy's expression softened slightly, but she still looked skeptical. "And why should I believe you?"

Maho took a deep breath and tried to calm himself down. He knew that getting angry wouldn't help his case.

"Because it's the truth," he said firmly. "I've spent the past two years searching for my mother, and I won't let anyone get in my way."

The fairy studied him for a moment, then nodded her head in approval. "Alright, I believe you. But be warned, goblins are dangerous creatures. You'll need more than just dark magic to defeat them."

Maho frowned. He hadn't thought about how he would actually rescue his mother once he found the goblin city.

"What do you suggest?" he asked.

The fairy flew closer to him and whispered in his ear so softly that Maho could barely hear her words.

"You'll need to find the Spirit Ball," she said. "It's the source of all magic in kilokilo, and it has the power to defeat the goblins."

Maho nodded, his mind racing with possibilities. If he could find the Spirit Ball, he would finally have a chance to save his mother.

"Thank you," he said gratefully. "I'll do whatever it takes to find the Spirit Ball and rescue my mother."

The fairy smiled and flew back a few feet, her wings shimmering in the sunlight.

"I believe you," she said. "Good luck on your journey, Maho."

And with that, the fairy disappeared in a flash of pink light, leaving Maho alone with his thoughts.

He knew that his quest would not be easy. The goblin city was far away, and he would have to face many dangers along the way. But he was determined to succeed.

With a newfound sense of purpose, Maho set off on his journey, his heart filled with hope for the first time in years.
