"Hurry up, pick a card! We're running out of time." Pan said to Xing and Ying. They had just defeated the last of the wyverns that attacked them in the burial chamber. Ying picked up the last wyvern corpse and threw it down a hole that led to a watery grave. The three decided to rest in the chamber after their battle with the wyverns. "You two go ahead and pick your cards, I'm waiting until we get back home to open mine." Xing said while he and Pan sat down on a stone table. Ying stared at Xing's card in awe. "Did you see what my card says? It says I will be queen of an entire kingdom soon." Ying exclaimed in excitement as she showed her card to Xing and Pan. "I have a similar card but mine is for king." Pan said as he showed his card to Xing and Ying. "Well this is great news indeed; now we can be known as the Three Kings." Xing said as he patted Ying on the back.

Pan looked up from where he was sitting and noticed that Ying's eyes were starting to roll back into her head. She started shaking violently and then fell over unconscious. "Ying!" Pan shouted as he went over to her side and tried to wake her up without any luck. He realized that she had drank some tainted water because she didn't know how to purify it yet. He turned around to face Xing and saw him leaning against the wall, with his eyes rolled back into his head, unconscious next to Ying's body. Pan knew they would both die if he didn't act fast so he quickly ran over to their pack which was lying on the ground next to them and took out their last bottle of water which was already half empty after they used it earlier in their journey; they wanted all of them to drink from it when they got home just in case one of them got injured during their journey. Pan quickly altered the contents into something that would heal his friends instead of kill them like before because he was desperate to save his friends lives. He hurriedly took Pan's sword out of its sheath and sliced his finger off so that he could use his blood as an ingredient for his potion. After stirring everything together with a branch he found nearby, Pan put his potion into Xing's mouth for him not choking on it later when he woke up after drinking it, then put Xing's finger inside Ying's mouth for her not choking on it either, then gave each of them some water from the vial which was enough for them both to wake up fully restored, quickly grabbed their pack and left the burial chamber before leaving through a door at the other side of where they entered which led out into an open field with nothing but tall grass surrounding them in all directions except behind them where there were two monsters guarding a gate leading into another kingdom entirely different than theirs; it was going to be difficult to get past these two guards without killing them but Pan knew there was nothing else for him to do about it because if he didn't leave soon, then both Xing and Ying would die from drinking that poisoned water from earlier and then he would be alone in this new world that they were entering with only one friend by his side which wasn't enough help if they were going to make it through here alive together or not at all.
