Act I

A voice bellowed out in a broken whisper, “Pharoah, break free of your chains!” And with a loud snap, two amns were released, revealing an adolescent figure who lacked the thickness and strength of his age in comparison to the brutish guards that surrounded him. The boy, a soft gentle face with deep-set but calculating hazel eyes, slowly rose and revealed large leather bands still attached to his wrists from shackles that held his arms and shoulders pressed against his small frame. The shackles held the mark of the ruling monarchy, a rotting and corroded bronze medallion with ancient rubbings of a defunct language engraved around its edges, symbols of power and fear reserved for those brave enough to question yet live. These moments seemed like a revelation for Pharoah as he rose inch by inch and began to feel the weight of whatever destiny was pulling him forth. Before he commanded it, a flicker grew in the depth of his eyes, and the answering fire of courage started to build within his belly, an organ and what some believed to be the source of magical power within. The guards all turned towards the boy, in disbelief that he was unbowed even in chains, and waving their scimitars menacingly in the air. Pharoah then responded with a brave but reckless leap forward, sprinting down the hallways with a determined sense of direction and a purpose renewed, only to turn a corner bravely to see ten people decked in the same medallion harnessing a unique and infinite source of magical energy. But what puzzled Pharoah completely was standing among them, a twin brother donning the same medallion and a powerful and oppressive militaristic rule, but one that deeply stained the blood of the gods ruling over the people of the land and threatened to consume them all. For hours both sides exchanged words that fought within the brothers and swayed in between their exchanges, a conversation that seemed to linger in the depths of their spirits. Allocated for time following an ancient script, it was time for the brothers to embrace and battle their relationship, not as individuals, but as two forces of equal and opposite potentials. Clouded in shadows, the brother exchanged jabs and quips until both silently acknowledged their next step and the the steps they needed to take in order to defeat one another. Act II

The moments after revealed much about their kind, as the brothers began to face off in a game of strategy. Breaking up with formalities, the twins each had something magical to give. Pharoah summoned force fields laced with orbs beyond count, brilliantly glowing and radiating a warmth and inviting magical strength. His brother on the other hand materialized a monstrous iron golem arrayed with deadly weaponry, a putrid marvel of iron and ancient rubbings from the former age. Wrestling for their interests, not as brothers but at heart as counterparts for hope, the battle ensued for hours afterwards. Each strike represented each brother’s purpose and direction, as both tides ebbed and swelled. Illuminating the battlefield with rounds of magic and pulses of energy, the battle raged on until glimpses of exhaustion started to take its toll on the brothers. Pharoah had enough, and he initiated the most tactical move of the night by submerging himself in a pool of luminescent magenta water and healing himself, a blessing not granted to his brother. Invigorated and restored, Pharoah resorted to reason to make a last-ditch effort to convince his brother to stand down and break this suicidal cycle. Caught in a moment of fraternity, both brothers laid down their weapons and began to talk. Act III

For several days, the brothers negotiated the terms of their truce, both illustrating the borders of their power and the consequences of their differences. Calling to old gods and reminiscence of past eras, the brothers battled each other's perspectives not just as estranged rivals, but now with understanding. What started as strands of mutual respect and lofty goals began to take shape with each brother fleshing out a future for their forgotten kingdom with an understanding of how to further allow it to synthesize with progress. Eventually, the brothers agreed upon the terms of the truce, to use their gifts despite their differences, and stand united against the oppressor of the land. Stirred by courage and emboldened by their similarities and differences, they united their troops and initiated an intense preparation session welding the most powerful and wisest warriors of the land to their cause. Exalting the elder mages and granting trust amongst the troops, their efforts brought out a confidence and strength among the people that single-handedly combated the growing fear and hunger that had arisen from Pharoah’s brother’s oppressive rule. Act IV

The final day was deluging the air with anticipation and electricity on an otherwise sunless day. Thus, a few hours before dawn, the troops and brothers aligned to challenge the oppressive army. Foresta, the captain of the army, a fierce leader equipped with a giant hammer and heroic resolve, led the charge and granted Pharoah’s skill and spirit to carve a path through the enemy’s line of defense. With Foresta leading the charge, a squad of powerful mages filled the air and unleashed fireballs, water blasts and inflicted psychological torture with surprising effectiveness. A sudden change of circumstance ensued and weakened the enemy’s grip, leaving their once unyielding walls in shambles. That’s when, in a stunning twist, the brothers’ unified strength galvanized the castle and revealed to their opponent the brothers with unbelievable natural powers and the conviction to purge their land of the tyrant. Caught off guard and deep in fear, the defeated quickly backed away and revealed the path to victory for the private allegiance still standing and filled with resolve. Pharoah and his brother then stepped forth, ready to traverse the road ahead of them to reach a level of understanding and bargaining that would surely bring an end to their oppressor and offer them both an equal playing field to determine their destinies. And this is how the legendary battle of the brothers began and ended, with an invasion of courage and an act of solidarity. A fateful day where they, who once stood as opposites and strayed away from fellowship, proved that no matter their differences, there are lessons worth learning, relationships worth connecting, and reconciliations worth exploring if, lost in the culture war, one stands brave enough to recover the distinction of justice.
