Miriam was never a very ambitious person. She preferred to keep to herself, staying in one place and living her life at a slow pace. She wasn't a person who would take risks. The only time she had ever taken such a chance was when she had left her home country of Palestine to pursue her dreams of becoming an actress in America.

But what made everything even better was that she only had to put out ten percent of the money for the role. Miriam couldn't believe it! All she had to do was give away ten percent of her paycheck! That's how she met Mr. Blackgama, her agent. He explained to her about how she would need to pay for things with the money that she earned, but he could help her make more money if she gave him some of it now and then.

It sounded logical enough, so Miriam agreed to his terms and even offered up more of her own money to get him to help her get more roles. After all, it didn't matter if she paid him after each check or just gave him some money now and then, right? But as time went on Miriam started feeling like he wasn't helping her as much as he said he would. In fact, Miriam felt like he wasn't really doing anything for her at all! So what should have been a pretty easy decision turned out to be a hard one for Miriam. She decided that she needed someone new to help out with managing the money that she earned from acting, so she looked around town for someone trustworthy... and that's where Mina came into play.

Mina didn't have experience working in financial management, but as far as Miriam could tell, Mina was honest and helpful enough that Miriam eventually decided to give her access to her bank account and let her manage the paycheck funds instead of Mr. Blackgama. And boy did Mina make good use of those funds! After quickly getting used to paying Mr. Blackgama his cut every month, Miriam no longer thought twice about having some extra cash lying around.

"What are you going to do with this?" Mina asked while sliding a large stack of money across the table towards Miriam. "You can't afford to keep cutting Mr Blackgama into your checks."

"I know," said Miriam nervously as she examined the pile of money before looking back up at Mina with wide eyes filled with excitement and confusion. "But... I don't understand why I'm getting all this money from my checks now!"

"Don't worry about it," replied Mina softly and reassuringly as if trying not to scare off a small animal that wouldn't understand what she was saying otherwise. "Just think of this money as something extra special."

Miriam nodded nervously before looking back down at the pile of cash again before asking another question: "And where is all this money coming from?"

Mina shrugged before replying: "Mr Blackgama told me that you're being sponsored by someone else now."

That made sense... except that Mr Blackgama said something similar back when he first introduced himself too! Still, after seeing how successful this 'sponsorship' had been, Miriam didn't want any part of it anymore; especially since it seemed like Mr Blackgama never actually helped her earn any more roles than before! How could he possibly be making all of this money off of her when nothing about their arrangement had changed?! That's when Miriam decided that she wanted nothing more than for Mina to take over handling most of the sponsorship payments from now on because clearly Mr Blackgama wasn't doing his job correctly anymore!
