It was a bright, clear morning in London. The sun shone, birds sang, and Henry sat on his front porch, waiting for the school bus.

His parents had given him vague instructions to get on the bus that was going to “take him to school”. They didn’t know where the bus was going, and they didn’t know what school it was going to take him to.

Henry sat in the waiting room of a large office building in central London. He was waiting for a woman named Charlotte. Today was his first day at his new school. His parents didn’t know about this either, but he hoped Charlotte would help him find it.

The waiting room door opened and a young man walked in with an umbrella. He saw Henry sitting there and sat down next to him.

“What are you doing here?” asked Henry.

“Waiting for my sister,” said the young man. “She had her interview today. She wants to work for...” The young man paused and looked around the room at all of the other people sitting there with him. “Well, I shouldn’t say any more than that here. I don’t want anyone listening in if they shouldn’t be listening in!”

Henry smiled politely at the young man and then turned away again as he pretended to watch something outside of one of the windows on the far side of the waiting room.

Outside, another young man climbed off of a school bus that had just pulled up and parked next to some other buses that were already parked along the street outside of the office building they were all sitting inside of. The new young man stood outside of the bus for a moment and looked at all of the other buses idling in front of each other before he started walking towards them through the light rain that was falling from the sky above them all. As he walked along, he noticed that there were some very fancy cars parked along this section of road too -- BMWs, Mercedes-Benzs, Jaguars; even a Rolls Royce or two -- and it seemed like most of their drivers were standing out in front of their cars, chatting among themselves while waiting for someone else who had been inside taking care of some business inside before them now too.

The young man observed the glamorous lifestyle of these individuals, who seemed to be in a world of their own, where only wealth and luxury mattered. The allure of success and prosperity was evident around him, as he imagined what it would be like to live such a lavish lifestyle.

Continuing on, the young man walked into the office building where numerous people were waiting. He heard someone talking quietly nearby, discussing topics related to war, weapons, and "properly preparing against threats". As he entered, he stopped for a moment to look around at all of the well-dressed individuals still sitting down, waiting for their turn at something unknown.

A woman came over and handed him a folder with papers inside and told him that she needed him to sign some things first before she could bring him upstairs where his interview was going to take place. The young man signed what she gave him without scrutinizing the documents too much because he felt confident about the content: it was likely a standard agreement stating that should he work here later on, the company wouldn't have any legal responsibility should anything untoward happen to him, along with a confidentiality clause reminding him of the sensitive nature of the matters discussed in the building.
