Kai was a fisherman. He made his living on the sea, and he enjoyed his work. He was one of the best fishermen that the village had ever seen, and for this he was known and respected by all. The problem was that he was also an islander, and therefore an outcast among his people. This is because his people lived on one island, while Kai lived on another island, which is where we left him last time.

Because of the inter-island rivalries between the two islands, Kai's people would occasionally visit Amara's people to rob them, murder them, or worse. As such, Amara's people were understandably wary of their neighbors' appearance near their shores. When Kai appeared near Amara's village, therefore, her people were just as quick to take him prisoner as they were any other invading pirate. Amara herself led the charge against Kai; she had always had a thing for him but resolved to never act on it because of their differences in clans. Now that they were both "in love" (more like in lust) with each other, they decided that they would run away together to start a new life on a new island that they would find together.

But before they could do so, they first needed to get past the ocean itself. This was no small task. Kai did not know how to swim - he learned at a young age that if you fell into the ocean then it was more likely than not that whatever monster dwelt within would take you away from everyone you loved forever. So now he faced the prospect of crossing an ocean in order to reach a new land - something he had never thought possible until now - but at least he had Amara by his side for support! Lest we forget about the dangers of the ocean itself...

They set off from their respective villages early into the morning; so early that no one else was awake yet except for them and one other person: Kai's mother. She wished her son good luck and told him to be careful on his journey; she knew what kind of monsters dwelled in those waters, but she hoped that she wouldn't see her son again after she saw him off today. Somehow she knew what he planned to do with Amara...

The two islanders did not go far down shore before they decided to build their boat; their first challenge was complete! With their boat complete, they began exploring the surrounding area for places where they could fish in order to sustain themselves during their voyage across the ocean. In just minutes they had caught enough fish to last them days after days! They were doing great so far...

It wasn't long before they found themselves stopping at an island a little ways off from theirs; it looked interesting enough! Maybe there would be something useful on it? It didn't take long for them to find a treasure chest buried in some bushes nearby; surely this island must have been a good place for pirates at some point? They opened up the chest cautiously and found three things inside:

As well as these items, there was also a note inside which read: "This chest is meant only for those who are worthy." Well it didn't say anything about them being able to keep whatever items were inside of it anyway... Maybe there would be more chests spread across this island? There must have been! And maybe these chests would have better items inside? They couldn't let such an opportunity pass by...

In short order Amara and Kai found another chest nearby - this time containing three gems (diamonds & rubies) - as well as several more chests containing minor treasures like gold coins and dragon scales; nothing special but still worth keeping just in case! They couldn't be too picky about these discoveries anyway... With all of these extra items added onto what they already brought with them into the journey across the ocean, they felt ready to go much further with plenty of supplies left over! They could rest easy knowing that if things got tough then they wouldn't need to worry about running out of food any time soon...

After spending around half a day exploring this island further (with no signs of trouble aside from a few birds attacking some coconuts), our brave explorers decided it was time to leave and continue on with their travels; perhaps there may be more challenges ahead of them along the way! What adventures await our star-crossed lovers? We'll find out next time when we learn: Where Did All The Fish Go? (Aka "The Ocean"). See you then~
