Dark Desires of Tom Holland

I slam the door behind me and take a deep breath, taking in my surroundings. I look around at the sparse dressing room, the only furniture being a large mirror and a simple wooden chair in front of it, a small table with a coffee maker and some cups on it.

This is my sanctuary. This is where I go to get away from it all. Well, not really. In fact it's more of a place to hide from it all, but that's beside the point. I was supposed to meet this kid, Josh or something like that, for the 'official' meet and greet now that I've changed into my civilian clothes.

I'm not sure why they call it that. We don't really *meet* each other, we just shake hands and smile for a picture or two. The last guy who played Spidey had made some nice cash off of his official meet and greets though. While he was still alive anyway.

That thought hits me hard as well and I feel myself grow even more angry with whoever decided to schedule this meet and greet with me today of all days. It seems like this month is going to be one long nightmare that I'll never wake up from. Maybe it's better if I just end it all right here and now.

Then I see him walking through the door, looking nervous as he walks hesitantly towards me. The kid looks about twelve years old at most, which means he's probably about fifteen or sixteen in reality, just young for his age. He looks up at me nervously before looking down at the floor again when he gets closer to me, his hands are shaking lightly so badly that I can hear them rattling against each other even over the sound of my own breathing as I try to keep myself under control.

The kid probably doesn't even know what's going on right now, but then again - who does? Nobody knows why Spidey died like he did or why they're making another movie without him while he was still on his first big break between movies. Nobody knows why they waited weeks after his death before announcing who was going to replace him in the next movie either - except for the inside sources like me who knew that they were doing screen tests behind closed doors while everyone else believed his death was 'accidental'.

Still though - can you blame them? The new Spiderman needs to start filming soon if they want to make their release date for the next movie! And despite what a lot of people think - money talks! If there's one thing Hollywood likes more than sex and violence - it's money! But hey, maybe that's just me thinking too much about this whole thing...
