Closing the Rift: Lee and Min's Epic Journey

When the first embers of dawn disappeared beneath the crimson horizon, Lee and Bishop Min had been traveling for three days.

Their journey began in the northern mountains; a place where few men dare to tread. The high peaks were covered in a blanket of white and gray snow and the biting winds that howled through their barren valleys were all but lethal. Weary from their trek, both men had taken shelter in an abandoned hut and were now huddled around a small fire to stave off the cold.

"General," Bishop Min said, his voice barely above a whisper as he tried to keep warm, "I'm not sure how much longer I can take this."

"The winds are strong this time of year," Lee replied. "We're lucky we found shelter when we did. If we don't find shelter soon, it may be too late."

"We can't just spend our entire lives hiding out in empty shacks! We have to go back home!"

"We'll go back home after we've dealt with the rift."

"But - " Min's words were drowned out by a sudden gust of wind that slammed into their little hut and sent the fire flying out of its stone hearth. Both men screamed as the flames danced across their clothes, burning them to cinders within seconds. With his face burned beyond recognition, Lee barely had enough strength left to throw dirt over the rest of the fire before collapsing on the ground in agony. After what seemed like an eternity, he opened his eyes to find Bishop Min leaning over him with a wet cloth in his hand.

Lee looked up at him and noticed that his face was also burnt beyond recognition; half of his forehead was missing while the rest was covered in oozing blisters so large they could have been mistaken for tumors. Despite this, Lee could still see his eyes staring down at him with love and devotion. He took deep breaths and waited for the pain to subside before speaking: "I'm all right... You saved my life... I owe you everything."

"You don't owe me anything," Min replied as he wrapped Lee's disfigured head with bandages. "You're my friend and I'll do whatever it takes to save you."

Bishop Min had been General Lee's closest ally ever since he was appointed as one of his generals many years ago. They fought many battles together against invaders from the North and once their country had been victorious, they returned home only to find themselves on a new battlefield: A mysterious rift had appeared in the middle of their capital city one day and no one could figure out why it was there or how it got there in first place. It wasn't long before people started disappearing into it out of thin air. Eventually, General Lee proposed that they venture into these strange lands beyond the rift so that they may close off its source once and for all. He knew it would be a dangerous task but he felt obliged to do anything he could to protect his home country from destruction - especially after having failed so miserably during these last few years under constant attack from neighboring forces looking to conquer them once again. But Bishop Min refused to let him go alone; instead, he volunteered himself to go on this harrowing mission with him because he believed that if anyone could save them from oblivion, it would be General Lee himself - someone capable of achieving greatness despite all odds being against him; someone whose heart has always been filled with hope even when everyone else around him has lost theirs long ago; someone who is willing to fight a seemingly impossible battle without any guarantees that he'll make it out alive - because he simply doesn't care about dying anymore; someone who has proven himself worthy of being called a hero time after time after time again... And that's why Bishop Min will do whatever it takes to help his friend reach his full potential - because this is what heroes deserve! This is what heroes deserve! This is what heroes deserve!
