Melissa fell to the ground as a wave of heat consumed her body. It was like the world stopped spinning and everything froze except for the two of them. The only sound she heard was her own heart beating against his chest as he held her tightly in his arms. She can feel his warm breath against her neck as his body pressed against hers. Her eyes slowly fluttered open and she saw their reflection in the window across from them.

Her hand reached up and tenderly brushed strands of hair away from his face, giving her a clear view of his baby blue eyes staring at her lovingly. A smile spread across both of their faces as they locked gazes with each other. He pulled himself off her and sat down on the couch next to her, but still holding her hand close to him. They continued to stare at one another in silence, but no words were needed between them. They already knew what the other was thinking and feeling in that moment.

Melissa leaned over and placed a gentle kiss on his forehead before lying down on the couch next to him, closing her eyes once again. He sighed softly and nuzzled into shoulder before pulling the blanket over both of their bodies so they can get some rest before they would have to leave.

The sun shined brightly through the living room window when she woke up an hour later, still wrapped in his arms under the blanket. Her head rested against his chest where she could feel every breath he took while she played with his hair lightly. She looked up at him and noticed that he was awake as well with a slight smile on his lips. They stared into each other's eyes for a moment before he finally spoke up.

"We should be getting back home soon," he said softly before running his fingers through her hair, "You don't want your dad worrying about you."

Melissa simply nodded in agreement and sat up from the couch, stretching out after waking up from such a long nap. She felt slightly stiff from sleeping on a hard wooden couch for a few hours, but it didn't stop her from smiling widely as she looked over at him, who was also trying to stretch out after lying down for so long as well. As soon as she stood up from the couch, he immediately wrapped his arms around her waist and gave her a kiss on the cheek while she giggled lightly before returning it with one of her own. She pulled away after a moment and walked over to where she left back everything except for her jacket, making sure not to look back at him until she was fully dressed again, including putting her boots on again without ruining them this time. They both got dressed quickly with small smiles plastered onto their faces as they thought about how things turned out between them last night while they washed up in separate bathrooms before heading out towards the front door once again to go home together...for now, anyway.
