I have always been a restless child. I have always sought adventure, and my mind has always wandered to the deep, dark corners of my imagination that no one else dared to explore.

One day, however, all that changed. I was walking along the streets of my village as I did every morning, with no particular place to go. "This is boring." I said to myself, "It's time for an adventure." So I set out in the direction of a nearby graveyard.

I had never been inside a graveyard before, and I was anxious to check it out. As I sneaked past the gate, I laughed at how easy it had been to get there. The place was empty except for a statue of Fu Xi, the god of longevity and good fortune.

"I'm sure your luck won't last long," a voice said. Startled by the presence of another human being in this remote corner of town, I stumbled behind Fu Xi's statue until I realized who it was; a messenger Wa sat on his cloud in front of me. "Didn't you read the sign?" he asked me, gesturing toward the entrance gate which now read "WARNING: UNLUCKY PERSON ENTRANCE".

"What does that mean?" I asked him. "What does 'unlucky' mean?"

"Quite simple," he explained, "If you leave this place alive tonight, you will be considered 'lucky'. If not..." He waved his hand over the entrance gate and it now read "BEWARE THE UNLUCKY PERSON".

"So what happens if you're unlucky?" I asked once more.

"You'll see," he replied mysteriously. "Now let's get started." And so we began our first lesson on how to be lucky (or rather, how not to be unlucky).
