Valeria's Iron Age War
·
Published 5/11/2023With her remarkable resilience on her side, Hispanic American CIA agent Valeria Lopez races against time to bring down Kiet Dang, a powerful Vietnamese mob boss who has acquired an advanced technology upgrade orb, before he can create his own Iron Age of unstoppable supervillains across Australia.

The SWAT team slowly walked down the hallway, their guns pointed forward. They were tracing the building's wiring to find where the gang was hiding.
“I still don't get how they got away with that much firepower,” one of them said. “That gun alone could kill a whole city block.”
“Shut up,” another one said. “They overpowered us and stole some metal orb or whatever, it doesn't matter what they have. We just need to take them all out before they can do any damage.” He looked around and saw a door on his left. “There! The last room on this floor.”
They slowly approached the door and pressed their ears against it. They heard some muffled voices from inside and one of them kicked the door open, pointing his rifle inside as he scanned for targets. His eyes widened in surprise when he saw that the entire floor was empty. He pointed at another agent who was walking towards him and nodded his head towards the window. The two of them ran to it and peered outside to see that the floor below also had nothing in it but air.
“What the hell is going on here? How did they get across like that?” asked one of them as he pulled his phone out of his pocket, rapidly punching in a number. “We found more evidence of an escape route from this floor too. They might have somehow- Sir, you need to hear this for yourself, there's no way I could describe what we're seeing right now... Yes, sir... Okay... Yes sir... Right away sir... Yes sir... Understood sir… Good bye sir… Sir… Sir? Sir?” The agent turned off his phone and threw it onto the ground as he watched a single person walk across the street from one building to another without even looking down from the railing he was standing on, slowly sipping from a cup in his hand while nonchalantly whistling to himself as if he didn't care about anything in this world at all. “That son of a bitch… they broke through our perimeter like it was nothing! I've never seen anything like this before!”
The other agent looked at him with wide eyes as he whispered something under his breath before running off towards another group of agents further down the hallway who were trying desperately to figure out what just happened themselves so they could call for backup and retreat back to base. As he approached them, however, he stopped dead in his tracks when he caught sight of something astonishing. A woman appeared to be gliding effortlessly between the buildings, her body seemingly floating through the air while her long hair flowed behind her like a stream of light through the night sky. Her face remained calm and blank throughout her journey.
The woman finally reached her destination on the roof of an apartment building across the street within just a few seconds. This mysterious woman, locked away in her room ever since her father confined her years ago, had finally gained the courage to escape. During her confinement, she was only allowed outside for school, but afterwards, she would return home to her self-imposed prison until the following day. She felt secure when she was locked inside as no one could hurt or control her anymore. But now, she had taken the first steps towards freeing herself and embracing an unknown world outside her room.
