"I'm not gonna lie, this place is definitely a bit weird..."

The foreigner peered over the edge of his stool, taking in the strange market around him. The smells and sounds were completely foreign to him. Feelings of dejavu swelled up inside the foreigner as he looked at the exotic items for sale...but something wasn't quite right. He knew Chinese people had a different culture, but a place like this was beyond his wildest dreams.

A man with a long beak-like nose approached him from behind the counter, "You seem lost, my friend. Would you like some help?"

The foreigner turned to greet the stranger, "Well, I uh...wanted to find an old friend of mine. His name is Big Bird."

The man smiled and pointed to himself, "My name is Big Bird!"

"Oh! You speak English?"

"Of course! Who else would I be speaking English to? Why don't you come sit down and have some tea?"

The foreigner looked around at his surroundings again before following Big Bird to a booth on the other side of the shop. A small Yorkshire Terrier followed them, sitting next to its master after they sat down. It stared at the foreigner curiously. The foreigner sat across from Big Bird and couldn't help but notice how much they looked alike...except for their size difference. After ordering some tea from an assistant, Big Bird took off his hat and nodded at his familiar, "This here is Yorkie."

The dog seemed genuinely happy to meet the stranger, it's tail wagging back and forth furiously as it panted in excitement. The foreigner stuck out his hand for Yorkie to sniff before patting it on the head once it was done smelling him, "Nice doggy."

They sat in silence for a moment as tea was brought over by another assistant, who quickly left after setting it down on the table. Both men politely took sips from their cups as they studied each other intently. Finally, Big Bird broke the silence with an odd question, "So...why did you call me 'Big Bird'?"

The foreigner smirked before replying, "Well obviously because you look like a big bird."
