"Sorry, kid. This is the end." Randall Boggs raised an eyebrow mockingly at the small human child who had disrupted his plans for so long. Her wide eyes were filled with fear as she clutched her stuffed toy even tighter. Boo babbled incoherently, unable to form any meaningful words.
With a flick of his tail, Randall sent the Scream Extractor whirring to life. The machine emitted an ominous hum as it floated closer to the terrified child. Boo's eyes widened further, and she took a step back, but there was nowhere for her to run.
Mike Wazowski struggled against the bonds that held him and his best friend, James P. Sullivan, in place. "Let us go, you slimy snake!" he shouted desperately. Randall shot him a dismissive glance before turning back to Boo.
"I'm sorry it has to end this way, kid," Randall sneered as he positioned the Scream Extractor in front of Boo's trembling form. "But it's time for me to get what I deserve."
Boo let out a high-pitched squeal and hugged her stuffed toy even tighter.
Randall grabbed one of Boo's tiny hands and attached a suction cup from the Scream Extractor to her palm.
"No!" Mike shouted anxiously from where he was trapped. "Leave her alone!"
"You've caused me nothing but trouble," Randall growled at Mike before turning back to Boo.
The Scream Extractor whirred louder as it began sucking out all of the fear and screams that resided within Boo.
Boo whimpered in pain and fear as her energy was drained from her small body.
Mike watched helplessly as his worst fears were realized.
Sully roared in anger and frustration, trying once again to free himself from his restraints
Boo's babbling became quieter and more unintelligible as the Scream Extractor continued its work.
Randall grinned triumphantly as he watched the child's energy being siphoned away. "Goodbye, Boo," he said mockingly. "I hope you enjoyed your time in the monster world."
Mike struggled against his bonds, his single eye filled with tears. "No," he whispered brokenly. "This can't be happening."
Sully let out another furious roar and pulled at his restraints with all of his strength.
But it was too late.
Boo's door disintegrated into a fine mist, and she disappeared from sight.
The Scream Extractor clattered to the ground, its work complete.
Randall stared at the empty space where Boo had once been, a sense of emptiness replacing his triumphant grin.
"Where did she go?" Mike demanded desperately, tears streaming down his face.
Sully hung his head in defeat, chest heaving with each labored breath. He had failed to protect her, just like he promised he wouldn't.
The room fell silent as the weight of Boo's absence settled over them all.
She was gone. And she wasn't coming back.
