Agatha's Gossip: Uncovering Hidden Mysteries in 5th century France

It all started 5 years ago in a sleepy, quaint village in France, not too far from the bustling city of Paris. Nobody thought too much about the girl running around and getting into all sorts of mischief until the day Agatha discovered her true genius. Against the wishes of her parents who deemed the activity a victim of their 5-year-old’s imagination, Agatha started a detective agency. She ingeniously constructed her spy network with mischief, creativity, and an eye-for-the-small-things that amazed beyond belief. From counting raindrops to people-watching, Agatha made it her mission to turn all of her talents - good and twisted – into her friends and allies. Little did she know that these sparks of ingenuity, weren't only the agents of entertainment but of an adventure that at the time felt more like play; more like running an spies’ detective agency.

At first, Agatha had to scout the neighborhood, uncover incriminating facts, and put all the puzzle pieces of a mystery together- literally. With some misguided guidance from her elders, Agatha started seeing each case as an opportunity to harness her skill set and tried to crack every riddle that came her way. Soon it became quite obvious that her skill level was far and above what the world around her was used to.

Whether she meant it to or not, Agatha's propensity to use her detective skills to uncover the deepest hidden secrets of her town had a domino effect; as each secret unraveled, people feared of Agatha would find out one of her very own. Despite her parents lamenting at the idea that she was always on the lookout, they stood behind their cautionary parentage and kept a close watch.

Ignoring their pleas, Agatha thundered on with her detective work, forging ahead with her agency and uncovering mystery after mystery with skill, zeal and a slight bit of naiveté. and yet innocence spun in her. Agatha was, believe it or not, quite liked by all. Partly because of her approach, partly because of how young she was, but mainly due to the fact that she had a knack for unearthing secrets and, more importantly, she kept them. She along with her close affiliates whom she call the Cut-ups soon found themselves a high-ranking members of the rumormill.

Agatha‘s network spanned the neighborhood and far away, and she made sure their work was direct and accurate. People naturally start half-believing whatever scandal was floating around, in spite of the odd truth here and there. Despite her young years, her spunky personality and sharp eye combined with a benevolent disposition earned her the respect of almost all of the merchants and people of France. Not a single personal vendetta lingered, and despite her sleepless nights, Agatha's fascination with the isles of secrets sprouted hope in her home and hearts of neighbors.

The first snags started appearing when Agatha stumbled into some cases that seemed to be deeper than she expected. Working in the back-alleys of 5th century France, she found herself in front of curious mysteries that took her down a tunnel of discovery that seemed interminable.

What started out as fun-spirited detective cases now gave an eerie feeling that her efforts were revolving around something bigger than her ordinary cases bigger than anyone realized.

Little did Agatha know that in unraveling the many traits of a criminal, she would discover herself a greater web of secrets - some including emperors, kingdoms and even archdukes. As the web of information closes in on her, Agatha fights to stay true to her word and her morality, while struggling to keep her family safe and herself alive. If that was not enough to put a damper on things, Agatha's Cutups gave their fears the best of their abilities in spilling their information on her to the wrong people - people who were powerful enough that the Cutups had to narrowly escape persecution in their times of absence.

After numerous sleepless adventures that uncovered lost documents, royal relations and morsels of silenced truths, Agatha soon learns that being a spy Detective was quite different than people might think. Rather than uncovering fun-filled mysteries, Agatha found herself at the heart of grand nefarious schemes. As she follows the trails of a grand power Play deadly enough to crumble villages and even a few continents, Agatha in her very own way is forced to face tyrants, embezzlers and their henchmen head-on.

The never-ending battles build up to a frenzied finale that bring her home, a life-changing battle of words, will, and courage that her very own neighbors had witnessed in one of their most unexpected scenerios; a 5-year-old being escorted from the village by some of the greatest known generals of the time!

Agatha's journey of discovery eventually leads her to unravel secrets that to her surprise were very much part of her own beginnings . . . Mistaken identities, betrayals and even the discovery of an ancient relic linked to her family's history propel our tiny-yet-tough protagonist to a world of intrigue that she was never supposed to know existed. Sabotage, betrayal, and attempts to stamp her out were at their peak in Agatha's midst as traditionalists and more sinister powers slowly close in all around. As the climax sails to a bridge, a grand finale of sorts arrives and with it, Agatha gracefully monologues her own adventures and a route to her destiny after scouring the landscape in all of its richness and secrets.

After months and years of sleuthing, Agatha and her Cutups emerge victorious after discovering a truth so deeply entrenched and ubiquitous, that it utterly changes the lives of Agatha and her people profoundly.
