Sensing his growing discomfort, the women become increasingly desperate and devious, attempting to draw him into new and increasingly risky activities to in an effort to tantalize his attention and avoid vanishing.

As Chris scrambles to set boundaries and regain control, a strange and tumultuous environment is created in his apartment as the women battle each other and their own unnaturally created condition, with Chris stuck in the middle. To top it off, the neighbors are becoming increasingly suspicious of the strange noise and outbursts coming from Chris's place that he is hardly able to explain away.

When Chris turns to the person who sold him the pills, it is made explicitly clear that the pills do not last forever and that the expiration time is imminent. Acting quickly, Chris crafts a plan of action before the expiration deadline arrives. He is quickly confronted by the pressure from both humans and the otherworldly forces that surround his actions, forcing him to act now before the reality of his situation ceases to exist. On the eve of the deadline, Chris makes an ultimate decision, attempting to use his instincts and judgment to give the women a life away from his watch.

However, it soon becomes clear that Chris’ legacy will be riddled with mistakes and misjudgments. As the deadline draws closer and closer, it seems unlikely that Chris will make the right decision- one that will potentially save the lives of these three women while retaining his own sanity. With the deadline quickly approaching, will Chris make the right choice or will his dismal attempts at justice end in disaster? Will these three women live or disappear in the mist of time?
