Lunar Love's Daring Dance

The ringing of the alarm woke me up. I sat up in bed and rubbed my eyes. I looked at the clock, it was 4:30 AM, I typically didn't wake up until 7:00 AM at work and today was no different. The red flashing 'emergency' light on the ceiling started to flash. I got out of bed and went over to my pajamas on the floor, I put them on quickly.

"Hello?" I said into the little microphone on my wrist.

"Mr. Jameson, please go to your window." A calm female voice responded. My stomach dropped when I heard that, this never happened before. I walked across my small apartment to my window overlooking the whole colony. The sky light was open and a small aircraft drone hovered outside my window, it had a ladder dangling from it.

"Sir, please get into the aircraft." The voice said again.

"What is going on?" I asked as I climbed down the ladder into the drone, which then flew away from my apartment and towards the nearest main walkway between buildings. After about 5 minutes we arrived at where most of the chaos was, around 200 people had gathered there already all looking up at their windows with fear in their eyes. The drone landed and set down its ladder, a woman wearing a white coat came out of it and ran towards a man standing near one of the buildings holding his head in his hands "I need all residents within 500 meters around this area to report to their windows immediately!" She yelled through a megaphone, her voice echoed off the walls of all surrounding buildings.

The drone picked me back up and flew me away from where everyone was to another section of the area, this time there were many more drones flying around with people in them being flown somewhere else "What is going on?!" I yelled at one of them as they flew by me "Something has gone wrong with our experiment!" The person responded before being flown off further into the distance. We arrived at an abandoned section of wall on one of the buildings that led outside towards an observation deck, we stopped and set down next to another one of these same white clad women who was frantically calling someone on her radio "I need you here now!" She yelled before looking up at me "Please climb inside sir." She said in an exhausted tone of voice.

I climbed into this new drone along with another woman who had been sitting there for hours staring out into space with her face buried in her hands sobbing uncontrollably, she lifted her face up when she saw me enter and looked both surprised but also relieved that she wasn't alone anymore "It's okay..." I mumbled to her while taking a seat next to her "...everything is gonna be fine." She smiled at me with tears still running down her cheeks before burying her head back in her hands again while sobbing harder than ever before. A few minutes later another drone landed next to us carrying 4 other people, 2 women and 2 men who were also wearing white coats like our pilot here wore but they were accompanied by two security guards wearing black body armor with guns strapped to their backs "Get in there now!" One of them yelled as he grabbed onto one of them by their arm dragging him along towards our drone "You're needed immediately!" He yelled at him as he handed him some kind of tablet device he had been carrying with him. Our pilot handed him some headphones that he put on quickly before sitting down next to us and putting his face in his hands sobbing just like that poor woman from earlier had been doing moments ago "What is happening!?" He asked our pilot between sobs "This isn't supposed to happen...it can't be happening..." He mumbled between his hands covering his face tightly as if trying to hold back tears or scream hysterically or even both at once like he seemed like he wanted too judging by how hard he was crying right now while also shaking violently as if having a seizure or something like that "We're not supposed too be here...where are we!? This isn't earth...is it!?" He asked hysterically while looking around desperately before finally noticing us sitting next to him bewildered "...what...where are you!?" He asked us frantically while wiping away tears with his hand furiously "We're almost ready sir! Please try not too stress yourself out too much." Our pilots voice came through over our headsets which startled him causing him too look over at us suddenly realizing we were there as well giving him a startled look as if realizing for the first time we were even present here with him besides our pilot herself "Who are you!? How did you get here!?" He asked us curiously still sounding very stressed out but trying very hard not too let himself freak out completely now that he wasn't alone anymore "You need too sit down sir! You will make yourself sick if you don't relax yourself."
