Susan Bishop was a genius, there's no denying that. She may have been the best scientist you've ever met, but Susan wasn't a very good person.

Her father, Dr. Harold Bishop, was a man of science and also a man of love. He could have been the happiest man in the world with his loving wife and their adorable little black-haired daughter Susan.

Instead, he chose to leave them. It all started with what would be known as "The Great Tunguska Event" in 1908. The event had started with an explosion over the Tunguska river in Siberia. It had spread shockwaves across Eurasia, causing millions of trees to burn for days afterwords. Millions of people had died in this event, but not a single body was found or a single person knew about it until later on when scientists came to investigate the event.

That was what sparked Dr. Bishop's interest - how many other "Great Tunguska Events" were happening every day? How much destruction could happen if one of these events were to occur over an urban area? After his first paper on the event, he became one of the most famous scientists at NASA and the name "Harold Bishop" rose to fame like never before.

That was when his family began to suffer. His work kept him away from home so often and so long that he hardly knew his own daughter anymore. When his wife decided to leave him for her sister's house, he couldn't be bothered to care either way - he just kept working and working until he finally died from a stroke while working in his office at NASA.

Susan got her intelligence from her mother just as much as she got her looks from her father. She was always curious as a child and she especially loved learning about space and astronomy even more than any other subject in school. Her mother was always encouraging her to explore anything she wanted to learn more about - but not even she could understand why she didn't want to follow her father into physics instead of astronomy.

She may have been smart, but she was still only human afterall - and humans are fallible creatures who can make mistakes easily if they aren't careful enough. That's why Susan made mistake after mistake after mistake throughout her life which kept sabotaging her career at every turn until finally, she had become the laughingstock of modern science: A failed Black astrophysicist who had made a ridiculous claim that she thought would revolutionize space research forever but instead had already been proven false within weeks by her competitors at MIT & Harvard who were now looking for new ways to discredit her even further because they didn't want someone like Susan ruining their reputations by stealing all their fame from them like she had done with MIT & Harvard's two most famous physicists - Professor Albert Einstein & Dr. Stephen Hawking who both owed their fame not just to their intelligence and hard work in science but also to Susan who was responsible for helping them both get funding for their research so that they could continue doing research on black holes which they both would be forever known for now thanks mostly (or entirely) due to Susan's help - another thing which MIT & Harvard would never let anyone forget as long as they lived because they didn't want anyone else getting credit for their discoveries especially not Susan!

Susan was accustomed to the whispers behind her back, the mocking glances, and the constant sense of being the underdog in the scientific community. But she refused to let it deter her. Deep down, beneath the weight of criticism and false accusations, there still sparkled the brilliance of her mind, a flame waiting to ignite a revolution in astrophysics.

As the months rolled by, Susan poured herself into her research, determined to find the evidence that would validate her theories once and for all. Night after night, she sat in her small observatory, peering through the telescope towards the black expanse of the night sky. There was something out there, something undiscovered, hidden among the countless stars and galaxies.

Her perseverance paid off one evening when she stumbled upon a peculiar anomaly, a faint distortion of the space around a distant black hole. Susan's heart raced as she realized she had stumbled upon something incredible—the presence of a wormhole. It was a breakthrough that could change everything, a gateway to new realms of understanding.

Eager to confirm her discovery, Susan submitted her findings to the most prestigious scientific journals. Days and weeks passed, and she anxiously awaited responses from her peers. To her surprise, instead of being immediately dismissed, her paper garnered attention. It reached the hands of Dr. Marcus Greene, a renowned theoretical physicist known for his ground-breaking work on quantum mechanics.

Dr. Greene, impressed by Susan's research, decided to reach out to her to discuss her findings further. It was a turning point in her career, a chance to finally be taken seriously. They exchanged countless emails, diving into the intricacies of her research, debating its implications. Their collaboration grew into a partnership—a meeting of minds that pushed the boundaries of astrophysics.

Together, Susan and Dr. Greene embarked on a daring mission. They assembled a team of brilliant scientists from around the world, each offering their unique expertise to unravel the secrets of the wormhole. Months turned into years as they tirelessly conducted experiments, conducted simulations, and analyzed data.

Their findings were nothing short of extraordinary. Not only did they confirm the existence of the wormhole, but they discovered a way to stabilize its fluctuations, creating a stable bridge that could be traversed. It was a gateway to other dimensions, a cosmic doorway that challenged the very fabric of reality.

News of their discovery sent shockwaves through the scientific community. Susan, once dismissed as nothing more than an incompetent dreamer, was now revered as a visionary. MIT and Harvard, now humbled by their initial dismissal of her work, extended olive branches, seeking to make amends and learn from her unparalleled breakthrough.

The scientific world was in awe as Susan Bishop and Dr. Marcus Greene became an unstoppable force, forever changing humanity's understanding of the universe. Their names would echo through the halls of academia for generations to come, their legacy etched into the annals of scientific history.

But amidst the accolades and recognition, Susan never forgot where she came from, the struggles she endured, and the isolation she had felt. She vowed to use her newfound influence and power to uplift the voices of other marginalized scientists, to create opportunities for those who were overlooked and dismissed. For Susan Bishop, it was no longer just about her personal achievements but about fostering a community of scientific minds that thrived on collaboration and inclusivity.

As she stood at the podium of the Nobel Prize ceremony, her eyes scanned the crowd. She saw the faces of aspiring young scientists who, like her, had faced doubts and hardships. With a determined smile, she addressed them, recounting her journey and the obstacles she faced, reminding them that the pursuit of knowledge could overcome any adversity.

Susan Bishop, the once ridiculed and doubted genius, had risen above the confines of her past, blazing a trail for those who dared to dream, proving that greatness resided in the most unexpected places. And as the applause of the audience grew thunderous, Susan knew that her legacy would not just be defined by her discoveries, but by the lives she touched along the way.
