Arturo's Adventure: A Tale of Enchantment and Discovery

The last time she'd felt such a rush of excitement was when the caravan had arrived in the city. She'd been just a small girl and had been running around with her brother, who was older than her by two years, as they were taken through the busy streets.

They were on their way to join their father and his new wife in their new life in the capital. Her parents had decided to leave the country for good after her mother had had the strange dream about the city and all its wonders. They'd packed up their belongings into wagons and headed out on the long road ahead of them. Along the way, they met other travellers who joined them on their journey.

The dream had been so vivid that it was as if she was there. The buildings had looked nothing like those at home, but still there was something about them that had drawn her mother in even further. The buildings were tall, much taller than anything she'd ever seen before. The people seemed to be moving far too fast, unlike those back home who tended to walk out slowly and with great care. There'd been smiles everywhere and everyone seemed to have their own voice. It was very different from how they did things back home where silence was preferred over conversation, as if speaking too loudly might bring down a curse upon you. Families talked with one another in hushed tones when they wanted to converse, otherwise they spoke only when necessary or during meals where everyone would eat together no matter what age or relationship you shared with them.

There were vehicles there that transported people from one place to another without any horses or oxen around for power. And the clothes! They were beautiful. She could never see herself wearing a dress like that, but she wondered what it would be like to wear a pair of trousers instead of skirts while outside in the fields working alongside her mother with her father and brother nearby.

The biggest surprise though was when she saw someone standing on top of a building watching over everything below him, like he owned all he could see! She couldn't believe what she'd seen until she asked her mother about it later on and found out that it wasn't just some sort of illusion but that there really were people who lived inside those tall buildings for most of their lives! When she heard this, her heart skipped a beat and she couldn't wait to see more of what awaited them there. That's why when they arrived at the city gates days later, her mother didn't hesitate to stop the caravan or get off herself from the carriage immediately so that she could buy bread from one of the stalls along the way to enjoy with some cheese for lunch as they went through town toward their new home; It wasn't hard for her mother to spot a bakery which sold fresh bread right inside one of these buildings! Her eyes lit up in glee as soon as she stepped inside and saw all these colourful rows of breads stacked high behind glass windows that stretched up towards an open roof above them with houses built right into it so that you could look down at everyone below you!
