“Yoshiro....”

The rain pounded the ground, it felt like it would never stop. A young woman stood under a tree, shielding herself from the rain as best she could. Her long brown hair was matted to her face and clothes, her clothes were soaked through. She was shivering but she didn't care.

She kept looking at the area where the man she knew better than anyone else had disappeared into. After Yoshiro had vanished into the crowd, she stayed in her position and continued to look in that direction. She didn't know how long she stood there for; all she knew was that eventually she grew tired of standing and let herself sit down, leaning against the tree. Her knees were drawn close to her chest while her arms wrapped around them, trying to keep herself warm.

Her name was Akemi, and despite how cold she felt, she wasn't crying anymore. She hadn't cried since this morning when Yoshiro had left her behind. He told her he needed to talk to his mother, but after he left, Akemi had realized that he didn't even say goodbye to her. It made sense though; Yoshiro's mother had always been an unpleasant person who only thought of herself and the reputation of the family. Even if Yoshiro wanted to sneak away without causing a scene in public, she was bound to see him leave and make a fuss about it. That's why he hadn't said goodbye; he wanted to avoid any conflict with his mother.

Akemi wondered what would happen between them now that Yoshiro had left home. She hoped that he would be allowed to visit her sometimes, but knowing his mother, Akemi doubted it would ever happen anymore than Yoshiro would want to go back home now that they were together. She couldn't blame him for that; after all, she hated his mother too since she didn't love Yoshiro how a mother should love their son. No matter how much Akemi loved Yoshiro though, she still wasn't sure if they were going to be able to overcome such an obstacle as his family not being happy with their relationship yet...

She sighed deeply and raised her head up again so she could look at the crowd in front of her again; no one seemed familiar anymore though so after a moment or two Akemi once more looked down again so she could stare at the ground below her feet.

Suddenly, Akemi heard footsteps sound behind her and saw someone appear next to where she sat against the tree trunk - a boy who looked younger than herself and quite handsome as well. He was dressed in expensive clothes which indicated wealth; he also had long black hair which matched hers perfectly in color if not length and style - except for his eyes which were burning golden instead of brown like hers were - it seemed like this boy was from another era entirely! *I wonder who he is?* Akemi smiled slightly at him as if acknowledging his presence, but then returned to looking down at the ground again before suddenly looking up again because whoever this new person was, they suddenly spoke in a voice full of fear: "Akemi?"
