The air was humid and heavy with the scent of salt. Rays of golden light pierced through the canopy of trees, illuminating a small clearing in which a young man with messy black hair, startling green eyes and wearing ragged blue jeans and a t-shirt was running for his life through. Panting heavily, he ducked beneath a low-hanging branch as he continued his desperate flight from whatever had been chasing him.

"Oh God... Oh God... Oh God..." he panted before tripping over a rock and sprawling on the ground. Clambering to his feet, he turned to face the source of his fear. A bestial snarl resonated from the creature that stood upon the path in front of him. It looked like a wolf but was easily twice as large as any normal wolf. Its fur was dark grey, except for the red markings down its spine and around its eyes which glinted eerily in the sunlight. Saliva dripped from its fangs as it stalked forward on all four limbs towards its prey, claws clacking on the hard-packed earth. The boy's eyes widened at the sight of it; he was clearly not prepared for this encounter, having no weapon or magic with him. He began to back up slowly as the werewolf took another step towards him.

"Please," he pleaded in a shaky voice, "I don't want to die."

A flash of movement in one of the trees behind him caught his eye and he looked up just in time to see a young woman dressed in strange armour jump from one tree to another with ease using her sword like an anchor line. She leapt into the gap between two trees she had been occupying and landed soundlessly next to him without making so much as a sound. He couldn't tear his eyes away from her, noticing how beautiful she was but also how deadly she seemed at the same time - her green eyes held such coldness and determination that they reminded him of those of someone who had experienced pain beyond what most could imagine, but had endured it nonetheless and survived to tell their tale. She nodded knowingly toward him, before turning her attention back toward their pursuer who was now upon them, snarling loudly and baring its fangs at them both - it seemed intent on devouring them both whole and would not be dissuaded by words alone. The girl drew her sword, aiming directly at the beast's heart.

"We need your help." she said calmly as if asking for directions rather than fighting for their lives against some kind of hellish monster that seemed more suited to Hades than anywhere else on Earth.

The boy followed suit and pulled out his wand - despite being sure that using magic would ruin everything around them he couldn't bring himself to use anything less than what he knew how to do best - after all, there's always something you can do with magic even if it's not quite what you intended in the first place! But before either had even begun their incantation however, bright white lights flashed from within each other's wands causing both Harry Potter and Annabeth Chase to open their eyes wide in surprise at each other when they realised they were standing just opposite one another on either side of themselves instead of inside their own bodies any longer! They both screamed simultaneously as they looked at each other then back into their own bodies again where they saw Percy Jackson standing there looking equally shocked at what was happening - or perhaps more shocked still that neither had managed to curse each other into oblivion! As they watched on helplessly they could only watch as Percy tried pathetically to stab himself through the heart with AnnAnnabeth's sword only managing to hit himself in his foot instead!
