The Poverty Whisperer

Emmanuel Chávez is a handsome, cunning, and intelligent young man who desperately seeks to escape the suffocating poverty of the neighborhood where he lives. Despite being attractive and having the support and affection he receives from his parents, he resents the miserable life that left him without his brother Benjamin. He plans to use his intelligence, beauty, and cunning as a method to enter the luxurious world he so desires to belong to. Not even having Ximena as his girlfriend, a poor girl from the neighborhood who adores him, makes Emmanuel change his way of thinking and his manipulative, ambitious, and selfish character.

Therefore, while studying at the prestigious high school where he has a scholarship, he meets Rubí, a rich and very popular girl among all the students. Emmanuel sees in her his great opportunity to enter the world of the rich that he has always dreamed of. He breaks up with Ximena and uses his charms to win over Rubí immediately but always hiding his humble origin.

Rubí proposes marriage to him but discovers the deception and breaks off their engagement. However, she offers Emmanuel to remain by her side as her lover. Emmanuel refuses and then she becomes Santiago's girlfriend, another handsome but selfish and superficial student.

Rubí and Santiago humiliate Emmanuel by publicly exposing his poverty and lies. This leads him to decide to seek revenge. He swears that he will never be trampled on again; he will obtain whatever he wants, no matter how or at what cost.
