"This is the best idea you've ever had, Dr. Reid" said Steven, a young and ambitious scientist.

"I think so too." Replied Dr. Reid. "If this works you'll all be famous!"

"But what if it doesn't work? We could wind up dead or worse!" Asked John, another young scientist.

"I've made sure the machine is working perfectly fine, there's nothing wrong with it." Answered Dr. Reid. "In fact I've even tried it myself and although I'm not sure where I ended up it was definitely different from here." Tried to reassure everyone that this was going to work perfectly fine.

Steven was quiet for a moment, he knew Dr. Reid wasn't lying about the device working but he didn't see how this could actually work at all. They were somehow supposed to find an alternate world where everything was perfect? How would they even know where to look? What if they end up dying in another world just like they were going to die in their own world? He didn't want to get his hopes up, after all he was still scared of what might happen if the device doesn't work. But then again he couldn't wait to use this thing either! He wanted to explore other worlds no matter what!
