The air was still, and cold. Rain had fallen hard the night before, leaving a blanket of fog over most of the village streets. Shouts sounded in the distance, calling the residents to work and chores. Sheep bleated as they were herded towards their pen. Chickens squawked within the coop. The goat enclosure was silent- all of their occupants had been taken to market over the weekend.

Ishigami and Obasi moved slowly through the center of town, taking in their surroundings. Celabrina was far from big; it consisted of about twenty stone buildings, with only two stories. The two travelers passed one by one as they walked down its cobbled streets, keeping an eye out for any signs of life. The sun rose slowly in the east, hidden beneath a thick layer of clouds. As they walked along, Ishigami pulled out his compass and studied it closely. His eyes narrowed slightly as he noted the needle's direction. He turned his head to Obasi and nodded silently in response to a question he hadn't voiced aloud: They were headed in the right direction.

They turned into a dim alleyway between two of Celabrina's larger buildings, where they found what they'd been searching for: a set of stone steps leading down into darkness. Obasi gasped quietly when his foot met nothing but empty air, but Ishigami steadied him before he could fall forward onto the cold stone below.

"It's alright," Ishigami whispered soothingly as he guided Obasi behind him down the stairs, "I always carry a light with me."

He pulled out a small vial of oil and flint and lit the taper inside just as his feet touched solid ground again. As he waved around the flame to get it to catch properly on its own, he listened to Obasi gasp again, this time in delight rather than shock or fear: "What is this place?!" he exclaimed softly as he looked around at what appeared to be a temple made entirely from glass!

As Ishigami took a moment to enjoy Obasi's reaction to their new surroundings, a soft voice called out from across the room: "Have you come for our gift?" A cloaked figure stepped forward from behind a pillar she'd been standing beside silently until then. She revealed herself to be young woman with long black hair tied back into a simple ponytail that fell halfway down her back. Her eyes were sharp and piercing; they matched her voice perfectly in tone and intensity as she addressed them once more: "We don't normally let outsiders see us like this," she said simply, gesturing towards herself with her hands and moving on quickly to business at hand, "but we've been waiting for your arrival for some time now." She paused for emphasis: "You must be here for our gift."

Obasi gasped again, this time in surprise: "You knew we were coming?"

The woman smiled slightly at his question: "Of course." Then she turned once more to Ishigami: "We have waited so long for you," she said gently, looking directly into Ishigami's eyes with hers once more, "and we are so glad that you've finally arrived."

Ishigami remained silent after this exchange; he couldn't speak if his life depended on it right then. He looked down at Obasi instead; there was an expression of both confusion and wonder on his face as well that didn't seem likely to go away anytime soon without an explanation.

"Ishigami, who is she?" Obasi whispered, his eyes never leaving the woman.

Ishigami cleared his throat, finally finding his voice. "I'm not sure, Obasi. But we'll find out soon enough." He turned his attention back to the woman, a curiosity burning within him. "You mentioned a gift. What is it?"

The woman nodded, her gaze unwavering. "As I said, we have been waiting for you. Our gift is a vision—a glimpse into something that holds great importance. Something that only you can decipher and understand."

Ishigami exchanged a quick look with Obasi, both of them intrigued yet wary of what lay ahead. "And how will this vision be revealed?" Ishigami asked, his curiosity slowly overcoming his initial caution.

The woman smiled enigmatically. "You must trust in the power of the Glass Temple. It will guide you through the journey and unlock the vision within you."

Obasi's eyes widened. "The Glass Temple...is that what this place is?"

The woman nodded. "Indeed. The Glass Temple has been in existence for centuries, hidden from the world. Its purpose is to bestow its gifts upon those who are destined to receive them."

Ishigami's mind raced with possibilities. What could this vision be? Why was it meant for him? And what secrets did the Glass Temple hold? He felt a tingle of excitement mixed with trepidation.

"I am ready to receive the vision," Ishigami said firmly, his voice steady despite the flurry of emotions within him.

The woman stepped towards him, her eyes filled with a mixture of reverence and expectation. "Very well. Follow me."

She led Ishigami and Obasi deeper into the Glass Temple, their footsteps echoing softly against the smooth glass floor. As they ventured further, intricate patterns and designs etched on the transparent walls seemed to come alive, shimmering and pulsating with an otherworldly glow.

Finally, they arrived at a circular chamber bathed in ethereal light. In the center stood a pedestal, upon which rested a small crystal orb, radiating a gentle luminescence.

"This is the final destination," the woman whispered, her voice weighty with reverence. "The crystal orb holds the key to unlocking the vision. Place your hands upon it, and it will reveal what awaits."

Ishigami approached the pedestal, his heart pounding with anticipation. He extended his trembling hands and touched the crystal gently. A surge of energy coursed through him, causing him to gasp.

Visions then began to flood Ishigami's mind—a grand tapestry of images, emotions, and stories interwoven together. He saw kingdoms rising and falling, heroes and villains locked in eternal struggle, and a prophecy whispered through the ages.

Obasi watched, his eyes wide with wonder, as Ishigami's face contorted with determination and understanding. The weight of the knowledge flooding his mind threatened to overpower him, but he stood resolute.

Finally, Ishigami withdrew his hands from the crystal orb, his breath shaky but purposeful. He looked at the woman, his eyes gleaming with newfound conviction.

"I now understand," Ishigami said, his voice carrying a newfound authority. "I know what I must do."

The woman nodded, her face serene yet filled with anticipation. "You have been chosen, Ishigami. The future rests in your hands."

With those words imprinted in his mind, Ishigami turned to Obasi, his voice filled with a new vigor. "We must leave immediately, Obasi. There is a path we must tread, a destiny we must fulfill."

Obasi nodded, trust and loyalty radiating in his eyes. "I am with you, Ishigami. Let us embark on this journey together."

As they exited the Glass Temple, leaving behind the enigmatic woman and the centuries-old secrets it held, a breeze swept through the streets of Celabrina, carrying with it whispers of a tale soon to unfold—a tale of heroes, prophecies, and the power of a vision revealed within the walls of the Glass Temple.
