Underwater Infiltration: An Agent's Epic Spy Story

"They're gone"

"What?"

"I said they're gone!"

"You're sure?"

"Yes! I've searched every room at least twice. They are all gone, they ran away."

"You don't know that, they could be hiding."

"No, they aren't hiding. None of the rooms have any place for them to hide."

"How can you be so sure? You've only been here for a week, you don't know what the base looks like."

"I do! These are my drawings from where I've been and how many rooms I checked. Five hallways lead to this intersection where I found these stairs going down. The bottom floor just has one hallway with 6 entrances on the side of it. There is no way that they can get into any of those rooms without me seeing them."

"But there's still two more floors down there! What if they got off at a lower level?"

"That hallway leads straight back up here and there's no way that they would find their way back in time to-"

"Wait, if those hallways lead directly back here then why didn't we see anybody when we came through them before?"

"Maybe they went out of their way to avoid us."

"Then why didn't we see anyone when we came in? That was six hours ago!"

"Maybe there's something down there that they wanted to see that kept them down there longer than expected."

"We did see some kind of big machine when we came in but it wasn't doing anything. How long does it take to turn on a machine anyway? We've been up here for another four hours and nobody's come out yet! If those four slept in or took a dump or something then we might be in trouble because..."

"Because what?"

"Because I'm starting to run out of food! We were supposed to stay up here for two weeks tops! Two weeks! Almost three days have passed and I still haven't seen anyone else besides them!"

"Just calm down. You're talking about five women who barely look old enough to talk, much less fight or hunt. You saw what happened the last time you went down there, you outsmarted those girls like some sort of super spy. Now eat your food while we wait, I'm sure that they'll be back soon because..."

"...because what?" "Nothing...nevermind."

"No, what were you going to say?"

"I just meant that it would be silly for them to stay gone for long if they want to keep being taken care of."

"Oh, well if that's all then maybe you're right...maybe they are coming back soon." *Sigh* *gobble* *smack* *chomp* *slurp* "Hey, this isn't bad for emergency rations!"
