Uncharted Adventures of Sebastian and Timothy
·
Published 3/9/2023Against all odds, two brave lovers, Sebastian and Timothy, risk life and sanity to embark on a mischievous journey of profound connection, testing their bond of love as they confront their darkest fears in a series of increasingly disturbing and horrifying situations.
There was nothing quite like the smell of a freshly opened package of paper. The sweet, almost intoxicating aroma of ink wafting out as my fingers danced across the pages.
I had the most beautiful penmanship.
As I wrote, my thoughts drifted to Timothy.
He’d been gone for only three days, but he felt so far away.
Three days is a long time when you haven’t seen your lover in over a year.
Especially when he left because of me.
Because I was insane.
Because I tried to kill him.
He’d said he forgave me for that. He’d said I wasn’t really a danger to him, but it didn’t matter what he said. I knew the truth, and it hurt like hell every day without him here by my side.
I continued writing my novel. It was about a man who had lost everything and was searching for the one thing that would make his life worth living again- even if it meant destroying everything around him to get it back. It was a bit autobiographical, but nobody else would ever know that. Not even Timothy needed to know that. He hated it when I put myself into stories and poems that weren’t supposed to be about me, and they weren’t- they were always supposed to be about someone else entirely- but somehow everything always ended up being about me anyway anyway anyway anyway anyway…
Suddenly, there was a knock at the door. My heart began beating faster as I set down my pen and quietly walked towards the front door, peering through the peephole to see who could possibly be visiting me at this hour on a Monday night. There were two men standing outside my door- one tall and wearing sunglasses, with shining blond hair almost white enough to radiate light from itself, while the other was so short he barely reached over his companion's shoulder- he had dark skin which made his bright blue eyes seem even brighter than they already did, contrasting beautifully against his dark hair and suit jacket. A look of surprise washed over my face as I opened the door slowly and quietly, reaching into my pocket as I spoke in a hushed whisper: “Timothy? What are you doing here…?”
The taller of the two men moved quickly across the room towards me and grabbed me by the collar of my shirt before smacking me hard across the face with his other hand (I decided later that it must have been his ring) and sending me flying backwards onto the floor where blackness overtook me immediately…
I awoke in an unfamiliar place; it was dark everywhere except for a dim light coming from somewhere off to my left side in front of me, which cast shadows all around me on whatever surface or object happened to be in its path at any given moment (which was usually nothing). To my right side there was something very soft beneath me- it felt almost like blankets piled up on top of each other until they could no more; however, it seemed sturdy enough not to have collapsed under my weight while I slept there. After rubbing my eyes several times and blinking rapidly several times more, I could barely make out any details within this strange place surrounded by darkness, save for one important fact: it did not seem as though I was still at home in New York City where Timothy had last seen me before leaving for Tokyo four days ago (and probably never returning). That alone gave me chills as I sat up from what appeared to be some sort of bed covered in sheets that were either black or incredibly dark blue in color; perhaps both? Whatever these sheets were made out of felt silky smooth against my skin as I sat up and looked around at what seemed like an empty room with no doors or windows visible anywhere within its walls as I stood up straight- after realizing that for some reason neither Timothy nor any other person was present with me inside this room (save for an old man sitting on an armchair off in the distance), I began exploring every bit of space around me until finally finding what appeared to be an exit at one end of this place with nothing but darkness outside beyond it (just like on this end inside). As I approached what looked like some sort of doorway between two plain white walls with no markings or designs visible anywhere upon them whatsoever (not even hinges), suddenly there came another knock at whatever door we happened to be behind right then – however, this knock sounded much louder than before, seeming almost powerful enough to cause some sort of earthquake or explosion nearby if whoever was knocking happened to hit things hard enough! Once again moving closer towards this strange door between these two plain white walls without signs on either one of them at all (though they looked very similar in design), once again opening it slowly and quietly so as not to alert whoever might be waiting just on the other side (as if there were anyone waiting there at all!)… only for yet another man standing behind yet another man who stood behind yet another man holding yet another man against himself tightly within his embrace knocking on yet another door! Almost as soon as I opened this second door between these two plain white walls without signs on either one of them at all… everything went black again immediately…
