*“I love you, Karan.”*

Karan heard his boyfriend say those three magical words. He smiled and looked down from his perch on the large rock in front of him. “Oh Navneeth? I love you too.” A warm breeze blew through the tall grasses of the vast prairie field they were standing in. The sun was slowly setting to their right and would be completely gone a few hours after the moon rose. “I wanted to show you this place when the moon was full, but it’s been so long since we saw each other last we had to see each other right away.”

Karan hopped off his rock and walked over to his boyfriend and pulled him into a hug. He placed a kiss on his forehead. “It is quite beautiful here isn’t it? What is this place called again?” Navneeth laughed and said, “I forget that you have never been here before. It’s my home remember? I thought for sure you visited me when I was in Australia. This place is called Windley Prairie Reserve and is in the state of South Australia near where I grew up. My hometown is about an hour from here if that helps you imagine how far away from civilization we are.”

“Oh wow! That makes sense why I have never seen such a place before. Well, besides like in pictures or videos online of course, but still... Wow! I am glad to be here with you though, it means a lot to me that you brought me here. You know how much I value our relationship even though we haven’t spent nearly as much time together as most couples our age do these days. And it makes me feel special that you are showing me your home town and not just a simple park or something like that as most people would normally do with their loved ones - especially someone they had only recently started dating!” Karan playfully elbowed Navneeth softly in the ribs and continued, “Besides it gives us both a chance to talk about our pasts without distractions! Because there aren't many places like this left in Australia anymore, so it's nice to be able to talk about it before it disappears forever!”

Karan began walking around the prairie looking at various plants and flowers he recognized from home while Navneeth stayed put on his rock watching him enjoy himself in front of him. When he stopped moving for a moment Navneeth got up and walked over to him holding out his hand for Karan to take as they continued their stroll around the prairie together.
