The Unexpected Wanderings of Tdaso and Gona

"So I was thinking, it's been an entire day since we met and we haven't shot each other. That's a good start."

Tdaso crouched in the underbrush as he spoke to his newfound ally. Gona, seated against a tree beside him, looked up from his tablet of light and his face split into a wide grin.

"Yeah, you know what? It has! And let me tell you something, I am *tired* of killing people and stealing their shit. I mean, look at this," Gona said, holding up the tablet. "I finally have something that doesn't break after four hours of use!"

"I know right? There are actual functional tools here! No more sharp rocks and sticks!" Tdaso replied, grasping the wooden handle of his spear tightly in one hand while raising up his bow with the other. "Now we just need to find some food!"

Suddenly there was a rustle nearby, followed by a heavy stomping sound! The two jumped to their feet and turned to face the source of the noise. A large brown creature emerged from the underbrush, gnashing its teeth and snarling at them. It had strange markings on its fur, but Tdaso could still see that it was covered in blood. Was it attacking one of the villagers?!

Before either could react further, the creature raised its head and gave a loud whistle. Suddenly more creatures appeared from behind trees and bushes all around them! More than Tdaso thought possible for this area! Now they were surrounded by these angry-looking creatures! Two of them were even larger than their leader! They carried large clubs or spears like the one Tdaso held in his hands! He realized he wouldn't be able to take all of these creatures down alone. He turned back to Gona.

Gona had brought out his own tablet device again and was rapidly tapping on it with his fingers. After a few seconds he looked back at Tdaso with a grin even wider than before. "Oh yeah! We're gonna be fine!" he said confidently as he raised the tablet closer to himself so Tdaso could see it better. On the screen was a little cartoon dog wearing sunglasses with its tongue sticking out while sitting on a beach chair with an umbrella drink in front of itself and an ice cream cone in its mouth. Underneath was text that read "Dank Memes". Gona started laughing hysterically again as he looked between the screen and Tdaso's confused face with his eyes wide open. After several moments he regained control of himself and started speaking again: "They're dank memes bro! Now we're gonna win!"

Then both creatures heard another sound amid the growling noises behind them: laughter! They both turned back around just in time to see one of their attackers slowly bend over forward until it was face-down on the ground on top of its arms while laughing uncontrollably into the dirt below it! Another one started doing the same thing until eventually half of them were lying on their stomachs laughing as best they could! The two were frozen in shock for several moments until finally Tdaso regained his composure enough to speak up: "What... What did you do?"
