She was a rare beauty. There was just something about her that made him feel something he had never quite felt before. Her smile, her laugh, even the way she carried herself was different from others. She was always so confident in everything she does, and it showed in the way she talked and moved. Max couldn't help but be amazed by her attitude. Everything about her was different from the rest of the women he had met. He loved being around her and watching her do what she did best.

They were currently in an abandoned warehouse, looking for any clue they could find on a group they knew little about. The group went by a name that sounded as if it came straight out of a comic book and had no official ties to anyone. All they knew was that these people weren't doing anything good. They were out to cause chaos and destruction, but why? Nobody knew, or maybe there were some who did know but weren't talking?

"This is giving me so much information." Sophia said, examining the paper they found earlier. "This group seems to be connected to the military somehow."

Max held his gun tightly, watching his surrounding carefully. "We need to get out of here before we meet them face to face."

Sophia nodded and motioned him towards the exit. As soon as Max stepped outside, he saw something move in his peripheral vision. Before he could turn around, he felt a strong force hit him in the back of his head, making him lose consciousness instantly.

He awoke slowly, finding himself tied up to a chair with Sophia standing in front of him with an evil smile on her face. It took him a second to realize what happened but once he did, he struggled against the ropes tying him down until he felt Sophia's hand on his shoulder shaking him gently. "Easy there tiger," she said while looking at him with her beautiful eyes and putting a hand softly on his cheek, "you won't get anywhere like that."

Max finally calmed down and looked at her confusedly before asking: "Why are you doing this?"

"I'm tired of being treated like I'm nothing more than an assistant." Sophia said angrily while untying him from the chair and sitting down next to him. "The fact that I am not able to work on my own projects makes me sick! This is my opportunity to prove myself!" She turned away from him slightly and closed her eyes for a moment before turning back around towards him with tears welling up in her eyes again.

"So what do you have planned?" Max asked curiously while rubbing his wrists where the ropes had left their mark and dangled loosely around his hands after she untied them earlier.

Sophia pulled out some papers from her pocket and handed them over to Max who quickly began reading through them after unwrapping them from their plastic coverings. "What is this?" He asked confusedly while throwing them back at her who caught them easily without even looking towards them once they were thrown at her.

"I've been working on this project for years now!" She said proudly while looking at him with sparkling eyes again as if saying 'see how great I am?' "Do you want to know what it does?" She asked excitedly while bouncing up and down on the spot until Max nodded at her questioningly making her giggle happily like a schoolgirl while clapping her hands together excitedly which made Max chuckle at how childish yet adorable she seemed right now. "It's basically a weapon that can kill anyone no matter how strong or weak they are! No one will be safe once this baby gets out into production!" She said excitedly while jumping up from where she sat earlier causing Max to stand up as well as he wasn't expecting such an answer from such a beautiful woman who always seemed so mature when working on things like these in public or at work that's why he didn't expect this kind of reaction from her right now which made it all the more surprising and hilarious to watch as she jumped around like a kid in a candy store who just discovered all kinds of sweets when usually everyone else would be freaking out in such a situation like this one which made it all worth it watching someone so serious act like this for once was more than enough reason for Max to keep watching without interrupting until Sophia stopped jumping around all of sudden which surprised Max who didn't expect anything less than someone acting like this for such a long time before finally calming down which made Sophia look towards him guiltily and start apologizing for acting that way causing Max to grin widely at how adorable Sophia really was causing Sophia herself blush slightly due to embarrassment for acting so immaturely which wasn't normal behavior for someone as mature as herself especially when working on one of her projects with other High Ranking Officers too making it all the more surprising that someone like Max saw through all of that acting showing how much he truly liked a person behind these masks everyone wore whether intentionally or unintentionally most of the time making it impossible for anyone aside from very few people who actually knew them personally or has worked with them especially professionally thus revealing their true selves behind those fake personalities they wear almost every day whether they want to admit it or not allowing people to see how truly amazing they are inside despite having hidden themselves behind layers upon layers of facades causing Max himself get swept away by all these thoughts causing his heart rate to go up which caused Sophia's eyes widen slightly when noticing this sudden change during their conversation before taking off his jacket since it was rather hot in here anyway forcing Max into action since now he had an excuse to touch Sophia's bare skin which caused his heartbeat go even faster due to excitement causing panic within himself because why wouldn't his heart race faster when touching someone like Sophia?!
