"Keith, please tell me you have a plan."

"Well Jeremie, I'm kind of making one as we speak."

The ship was going out of power. They needed to land on the planet and recharge the ships reactor. They had followed the beacon to what looked like a landing site. But that was an hour ago and everything was not going according to plan.

"You should really be more specific than that." Jeremie said "Because your 'plan' seems to involve us losing power, drifting in space until we're dead or until someone rescues us."

"Calm down, Jeremie. We're alive aren't we?" Keith said as he worked on trying to get the engines back online.

"I'm not so sure about that..." Jeremie replied with a hint of finality in his voice

"You know what I mean." Keith said rolling his eyes at the A.I for emphasis.

Jeremie remained silent for a moment, considering his response. "Yes, but only because we are stuck inside this vessel and have no other choice but wait for our lives to end from either suffocating or freezing to death."

Keith sighed while he continued working. "Would you rather we were outside? We may have some protection against the cold and lack of oxygen but most likely not much else." He paused for a second as though thinking and then said "And before you say it: No I can't turn up the heat or oxygen levels to make it more comfortable, if anything those would just speed up our deaths by giving up all of our remaining resources too quickly."

Jeremie didn't respond right away, his silence telling Keith that he knew how bad their current situation actually was. Then after another moment of silence he spoke again. "Fine, but what is your plan exactly?"

Keith stopped working for a moment and turned to face Jeremie directly through the holo-projector between them "We need to get this ship down on the surface, preferably without blowing up or smashing into anything else when we land." He returned back to work on the ship's systems. "Then we need to get the equipment onboard charged so we can move around safely without freezing or dying from lack of air." He finished his sentence by looking back up at Jeremie for approval. The A.I held his gaze for a few moments longer before nodding quietly and returning his attention back to work on trying to get something operational again... whatever it was he was doing anyway.
