The dark forest was filled with the cooing of birds and the rustling of dry leaves. It was here, in the deep woods that a small village had been founded by a group of travelers. Even though the village was established many years ago, the people still lived in fear. The main reason they were afraid was because of their lack of protection.

In the past, the village had been raided by bandits, soldiers, and even a bear! The attacks were brutal, leaving many people dead after their homes were burned to the ground. However, three young women had decided that it would be best for them to join the military to protect their home. And so, they joined up with a local militia and began training. The girls had learned many things; how to fire a pistol, how to make traps, and how to throw knives. Even though they were training every day, they weren't sure if they'd be able to stop an enemy from destroying their home. That's why they decided to go back home and ask the mayor if he could give them some sort of weapon or armor that could help them.

When they arrived at their village, they quickly made their way into the tavern where the mayor held his meetings. They saw him sitting behind his desk and walked up to greet him. "Good morning," said one of the girls as she took a seat in front of his desk. The other two stood on either side of her and waited for a response from him. "Hello there ladies," he responded with a smile as he finished writing something down onto his parchment. "I've got some bad news for you." A look of worry began to appear across each girl's face as he continued speaking. "As you know we've had problems with raiders attacking our village and I'm afraid that I don't have much money left over for any sort of protection." This only added further disappointment after all of their hard work in training. He finally looked up from his papers and stared at each girl who sat before him while he continued speaking. "However, I do have some advice for you." He stood up out of his chair and walked around his desk towards the girls where he pulled out three daggers from inside his jacket. "I know you've been training pretty hard with those knives so I'm going to give these three daggers to you!" He handed one dagger to each girl as he watched them stare at them in awe while holding them in their hands. "You'll need something light so that you can keep your movements quick and fast," he said as he pointed towards a large blackboard on one side wall in his office which was covered with various writings about combat strategies written in chalk.. "And when it comes down to fighting you'll need something sharp so that you can inflict wounds on your enemies." He motioned towards another blackboard on another side wall filled with drawings about different types of wounds such as stabs, thrusts, cuts, etc., each drawn out on mannequins made out of straws and old clothes sitting on top of wooden stands placed on top of crates near each blackboard . As soon as he finished speaking he leaned back against his desk again and watched each girl hold up her new weapon while trying out different stances like lunging forward with it or twisting it around like she was cutting something or someone just below her waistline while taking quick steps backwards before returning back into her original position with her dagger raised above her head ready to strike whoever might come charging at her during battle with this new found knowledge she learned during her training sessions at the militia encampment under her instructor's watchful eye.

As time passed by, life went back to normal within the small village until one day when everything changed once again when an attack came seemingly out of nowhere! Many people cried out in fear as flames began taking over their homes leaving nothing but ashes behind them . One woman grabbed onto her young boy who shielded himself from all the noises surrounding him by burying his head into his mother's chest who held him close tightly as she ran deeper into town trying desperately not let anything happen to him . Another man stood there frozen unable to move not knowing what to do except stand there pretending like nothing was happening . A young woman spotted someone dressed in black from head-to-toe walking through town trailing smoke behind him holding what looked like a small mirror that reflected the sunlight around him making it difficult for anyone else around town recognize exactly who this stranger really was .
