all of this that I had just rambled on for quite some time about things not really relevant to the main story, I withdrew from my reverie and sheepishly looked back at Sonea, who was still awaiting my reply. Clearing my throat and feeling somewhat disoriented by my own deluge of thoughts, I tried to compose myself and focus on the matter at hand.

"Sonea," I said softly, pulling myself together, "I'm sorry. I got a bit carried away with my thoughts. Of course, I give you my blessing for your marriage, but tell me more about this union. Who is your bride-to-be, how did you meet her, and what does she mean to you?"

Sonea smiled gently, understanding that his mother's chaotic thought process was merely due to an overwhelming mix of emotions and concern for her family's well-being. He proceeded to tell me about his bride-to-be, a kind and beautiful young woman from a neighboring village named Liana whom he had met during his travels. They had been courting for several months, and getting to know her had made him realize that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her.
