Joanna woke up from her slumber and rubbed her eyes to get rid of the blur. The room she was in was dark, with only a single candle in the corner lighting the place up. Her neck hurt, she tried moving it around but it felt stiff and sore. She remembered fighting against some villains at the park yesterday. After she defeated them with her powers, she felt exhausted and went home to take a quick nap. She had just woken up when someone suddenly appeared in front of her and injected something into her body. A man with red eyes, horns protruding out of his head and a black cloak covering him up till his feet.

“That’s right... I was drugged... by a demon!” Joanna said to herself as she started getting up from the wooden chair she had been sitting on. “I have to try and find an exit!” She then started looking for any doors or windows that could lead her out of this place but all she found were walls filled with books and lots of lab equipment littered around the room.

After about five minutes of searching for something that could help her escape, Joanna heard noises coming from outside the door. Screeching electronics followed by the voice of a woman “Hello everyone! It’s time for your daily report!”

Joanna rushed towards the door and pressed her ear against it trying to hear what was happening outside.

The voice continued “How are you guys doing? I hope you’re not getting tired too soon! Heheheheheh! I can see why now. It seems like our little super star has woken up already!” At that point Joanna heard footsteps approaching towards the door and she ran back to where she had been sitting to hide herself away before anyone opened the door up. The footsteps stopped right in front of the door then they suddenly stopped walking.

Joanna waited silently hoping that whoever was standing outside would leave soon but he didn’t move at all. As seconds turned into minutes, Joanna began to feel scared again; What if it wasn’t someone who wanted to leave this place as well? What if it was someone sent here to guard her? Or worse... kill her?

She tried sniffing out whoever it was standing outside but she couldn’t smell anything except for books and some other nasty chemical smells which made her feel dizzy and sick. After about two more minutes of standing still, Joanna slowly stood up from where she had been hiding behind some shelves and looked back at the door hoping that whoever it was would leave as soon as possible so that she could find an exit out of here before something bad happened to her, or worse... before she got brainwashed again by whatever drug they used on her yesterday. As soon as she stood up, however, someone slammed their hand against the door making Joanna jump backwards and fall off a table making loud noises which echoed through the room.

“Who is there? Show yourself! You coward!” The same woman's voice said angrily as Joanna looked around frantically trying to find somewhere to hide again after realizing that there wasn't anywhere else left in here except for underneath the table where she had fallen off earlier on. Luckily for her, there was a large gap between that table and another one next to it which allowed her to crawl underneath without anyone noticing what she was doing until it was too late for them to do anything about it. She crouched down under there breathing heavily while gripping onto a metal pipe sticking out of one of the tables leg with both hands tightly while staying silent hoping that no one would notice where she had gone this time around either.

After what seemed like an eternity, she finally heard footsteps walking away from where she was hiding leaving Joanna alone again inside this dark room with only a single candle lit in the corner giving off some dim light which barely lit up anything at all. “I should be safe now.. I think… Maybe I should wait here for another hour or so before taking my chances again…” Joanna thought to herself as she leaned against one of the tables legs while resting on top of some boxes stacked on top each other creating a small area where Joanna could rest without being seen by anyone entering inside this room without knowing where exactly she might be hiding somewhere inside this room instead
