Thaddeus in the Red Planet: An Epic Journey of Redemption

Act One –

It had been seven years since Thaddeus the Third had been exiled from his home. He still held on to the pain, hurt and humiliation of being sent away from the only world he had ever known. The only solace he had been able to find was among the stars in the night sky. Looking up, he wished he could blast off, disappear and find peace someplace else. His prayers were answered when he received word that a neighboring planet had succeeded in reaching the planet Mars. A society of cultures and religions were beginning to establish a foothold there. Since it was far away, it was the ideal destination to start a new life away from the eyes of those he called home. Without a second thought, he began his grand adventure. His journey would take weeks and it was nerve-wracking, but he was ready to take one last chance on himself and his dreams. Act Two -

Sick of the confinement of the ship, Thaddeus steppe off the vessel. His ship had finally anchored on Mars and he knew instantly that he had made the right decision to come. A bustling metropolis of temples, homes, and schools filled the landscape, and everyone was content, happy, and mostly at peace. The air of acceptance was a welcome feeling for him; his leprechaun identity made him stand out back home, but here it was a fond curiosity rather than a source of scorn. Like a deep sea diver exploring the depths, Thaddeus quickly found himself captivated by the many religions he encountered. Their concepts of worship and reverence were awesome, opening his eyes to what faith should feel like. As he journeyed through this new world he also became aware of tensions surrounding a controversial treaty. The people of Mars had agreed to relinquish a part of their lands to a neighboring kingdom, something that initially Thaddeus thought was unfair…But as he talked to and listened to the locals regarding the proposed agreement, he started to understand the political pressure behind the agreement, and the difficult decisions those in leadership had to make. In that realization came a newfound appreciation for the wisdom of their leaders, even if he disagreed with them. Ultimately, Thaddeus realized the power of faith, hope and respect could bring even enemies together. He finally felt content and peace and was ready to take on whatever task was now presented to him. Act Three –

Of course, this newfound contentment was not to stay for long. News began spreading of a dark cult who wanted to use the diversity and faith of the locals to their advantage. Led by a mysterious, powerful individual, this group desired to subjugate the people. Rumors and whispers quickly spread of kidnapping and evil plots, and the people of Mars were left frightened and helpless. Throughout the planet, Thaddeus encountered people desperately trying to resist their reign. Working in the shadows, he provided supplies and resources to the resistance—all while keeping his magical abilities out of sight, too proud to accept aid from anyone. But as time went on, he soon realized that such efforts were only making a difference in small parts of the planet. He was also painfully aware that his goal was now inaccessible - to succeed in his mission, he'd actually have to face his nemesis. Act Four -

Without any other options and running out of time, Thaddeus devised a plan to rescue the people of Mars. Under the cover of darkness, Thaddeus and a small group of brave warriors traveled to secret locations to free the captives and acquire powerful weapons. They had made so much progress that they thought they could win…until they stumbled upon the leader of the cult who, just as they were about to make their move, revealed himself. It was him, his former friend and a former comrade who had been exiled with them all those years earlier. Thaddeus never knew what compelled his comrade to turn traitor and help in these mad schemes. Undeterred, he pushed forward and the battle began raging between the two sides. With faith and courage in his heart and will power running through his veins, Thaddeus emerged victorious. He achieved his aim of liberating the people, reconciling with his past and earning acceptance from the Mars townsfolk he had been journeying with, especially from the charismatic religious leaders he had met along the way. With redemption in his heart, Thaddeus then returned to his home, taking the new world he found on Mars with him.
