Last Chance in Egypt's Utopia

It was just another night in Egypt. The air was warm, the sky was clear, and the stars were shining brightly. I had been doing the same thing for a while now; sitting on my roof looking at the stars. I’ve seen them for so long I began to forget what it looked like when they were really there and not here as memories.

The stars were only a memory because of the curse we have lived with for so long, a curse we have forgotten. We don't remember because we've all given up trying to remember, but when I look at those stars, I can feel something stirring within me. It's like they're whispering to me, telling me the story of our past. Of the time before that cursed day when all life became death.

I sigh and get up from my seat, I walk down the stairs, careful not to make any noise that would wake up my parents, who have been working extra hours lately. They say it's for the good of our country, but I think it's just an excuse for them to stay away from home as long as possible. They try to ignore me and pretend that nothing has changed since then, but I know better than that.

I walk into my room and close the door behind me, but before I lay down on my bed, I hear a faint knock on my window. It wasn't loud enough to wake anyone up but loud enough to catch my attention, so I walked over and unlatched the window, opening it slowly so it doesn't make any noise.

Not sure what else to do, I went back over to my bed and lied down on it, waiting for whoever is outside of my house to say something. A moment later, a head popped through my open window and a familiar face looked down at me with a smile. “Hey Leo! Are you ready?” He asked with a smile which immediately made me smile back, there’s no way someone could be around him without smiling back at his goofy grin.

I got up from my bed and walked over to him, “Yeah sure, let’s go!” And he jumped inside through my window followed by two more people right after him. “Hello everyone!” One of them said in a cheerful voice while greeting us with a wave of her hand before sitting down on my desk chair. The second one walked over to her and sat down on her lap while kissing her cheek making her giggle quietly. The last one walked over to me and gave me a small kiss on the lips before giving me his signature goofy grin again which made me blush slightly making him chuckle quietly.

He then pulled out some rope from his pocket along with some zip ties and other equipment used for various things such as climbing buildings or sneaking into places usually unnoticed. These tools help bypass guards who would typically check places that are presumed unoccupied or locked up, making them easy targets for thieves due to their lack of security or awareness.

Our hearts ache whenever Jack takes on these reckless adventures, especially since we know how dangerous they can be. But if there's one thing we love most about Jack, it's that despite his recklessness, he makes our hearts beat as fast as his when we feel alive together. Being with someone who understands us more than anyone else ever could, including our parents, is a bond like no other.

Sometimes living recklessly allows us to embrace life fully, unlike living safely which can leave us with regrets. No matter how hard you try, there will always be regrets unless you live recklessly and unapologetically. When we engage in these daring endeavors alongside Jack, we gain invaluable experiences and grow stronger together.

Taking risks in life may sometimes mean facing hardships, but it teaches us important lessons and instills in us the courage to push past our fears. And when death finally comes for us, we know that it will not be faced with regrets but rather with the knowledge that we lived our lives to the fullest.
