Lost Prince Found

Prince Lucien stood at the edge of the vast forest, his heart fluttering with anticipation. He had longed for this day, to leave behind the confining walls of the palace and venture into the untamed wilderness. The scent of moss and pine filled the air, and he could hear birdsong mingling with the distant rush of a river.
"Are you ready, Your Highness?" asked Captain Armand, leader of his royal guard, breaking through Lucien's reverie.
Lucien turned to face him, a smile playing on his lips. "More than ready, Captain. Today, we shall embark on a hunting trip like no other."
The captain nodded approvingly. Though it was his duty to protect the prince, he understood Lucien's longing for adventure. He was a man who loved nature himself and admired the prince's kind heart.
"It's good to see that fire in your eyes," said Captain Armand. "The forest can be a wondrous place, but also a dangerous one. We must proceed with caution."
Lucien's smile widened as he adjusted the quiver slung over his shoulder, filled with arrows crafted by master fletchers. "Of course, Captain. I will follow your lead."
With that, they set off into the forest with a small group of guards trailing behind them. As they ventured deeper into the woods, Lucien felt an exhilarating sense of freedom wash over him. The palace seemed worlds away as shafts of sunlight filtered through the dense canopy above.
But just as their excitement reached its peak, dark clouds gathered overhead and thunder rumbled in the distance.
Captain Armand frowned at the sudden change in weather. "We should find shelter soon," he called out to his men.
But before they could react, rain started pouring from the sky in thick sheets and strong winds whipped through the trees. In mere moments, they were drenched to the bone and disoriented.
"Take cover!" Captain Armand shouted over the howling wind. "Find the nearest shelter and regroup!"
Lucien gripped his bow tightly, his heart pounding with a mixture of excitement and fear. He followed the captain's orders but soon realized he had become separated from his guard in the chaos of the storm. Panic started to rise within him as he looked around at the endless sea of trees, their trunks blurred by rain.
"Captain!" Lucien called out, but his voice was carried away by the wind.
He was alone, lost in the heart of the forest.
