Roger's Fateful Quest: Challenging Cirno's Cruel Charm
·
Published 4/17/2023With courage and determination, fallen knight Roger Nombrun recklessly journeys into the depths of the wilderness to confront the mercilessly powerful force of nature Cirno in a suicide mission to save a doomed village - only to fall victim to her cold charms and a tragic, ironic demise.

The imposing, grey stone walls of Chateau De_Nuit loomed in the distance. The castle was built over a thousand years ago, and stood as a testament to an age long passed, and a time that could never be reclaimed. Beneath the ancient structure lay a sprawling maze of catacombs, mausoleums, tombs, and burial chambers.
"Hail! A Knight! I am Sir Cirno, who are you?" A giant lily sprouted from the ground causing the knight's horse to rear and snort in fright.
The knight dismounted his steed and stood before the flowery obstacle. "I am Sir Roger Nombrun of House De_Nuite."
A mischievous grin spread across Sir Cirno's face. "I've been expecting you!" she said with glee. Her petals began to close in on the knight, creating a barrier around him that he would not be able to escape.
Sir Nombrun drew his sword and shield, readying himself for a fight he knew he would lose. "Your reputation precedes you Lady Cirno, but I will not be another casualty."
"I'm afraid your reputation precedes you Sir Nombrun," her voice was smooth and sweet. "You were once known as 'The Bravest Knight' and 'The Defender of France' but now you are nothing more than a has-been," she continued bringing her petals closer still until they pressed against him on all sides. His armor now scraped up against her soft petals leaving scratches in his once pristine coat of arms.
"I know what you're trying to do," he said coolly even though his heart raced in his chest. He slowly held his shield up to block some of the petals from hitting him in the face, but it was no use - she was too strong for this old relic of a knight. The weight of her petals pressed down on him like an avalanche until he dropped to one knee and then eventually fell to the ground where he curled into a ball trying to protect himself from the barrage of blows that rained down upon him until finally everything went dark as silence set in.
"Congratulations!" She cheered after letting up on her attack. She had pinned him underneath her petals like an insect trapped under glass so that she could watch him die from suffocation as slowly as possible without doing any lasting damage - which was good because she didn't want to kill off Sir Nombrun just yet. His time had come but not today; today would be about mercy...today would be about kindness...today would be about love! "You have fought well Sir Nombrun, but it seems your time has come!" she blew gently on him sending chills through his weary body until a flash of blue light blinded them both momentarily before dissipating completely leaving behind a frozen corpse beneath her soft flowery embrace.
